A Long Way Down is an indie title that combines rogue-like and card game elements. The game was developed by Seenapsis studio, and Goblinz and Maple Whispering Limited are responsible for its release; companies already have several well-received positions. The game tells the story of Sam. The hero finds himself in the middle of a labyrinth created by an unknown evil force, and our task is to help him get out of it, using cards that will be used both to fight and to shape the environment. A Long Way Down is a rogue-like game in which, instead of traditional equipment, we equip ourselves with playing cards like in a card game. We can use the cards we get in several ways. Some of them represent armor and weapons: these can be "put on" as equipment. Others serve us on the combat screen during turn-based skirmishes: we can use them to activate passive abilities in our queue and attack our opponent. The third type of cards are those thanks to which we shape our environment, e.g. by building additional paths in places where they have not been there so far. There is no character class in A Long Way Down - it depends on the items we have. By wielding the mage's staff, we become one. Our hero finds himself in procedurally generated dungeons in which not all paths are always open to us. By using the appropriate cards, we can modify the labyrinth and open inaccessible passages - but be careful, because for each card we use, the lord of the dungeon may also place an additional trap or monster on our way. We are not alone in the underground, there are potential companions waiting for us who can join us, as long as they do not become our opponents. When traveling through the maze, we often have the opportunity to show ourselves from the good or the bad side. The morality system influences the perception of our environment (our decisions affect the mental health of the hero, and, as a result, how well he or she tolerates the situation) and the attitude of the encountered characters and whether they will be our enemies or not.

During the maiden flight, the jump was only planned for a short distance. The player takes on the role of the captain and has to find a way to return home. Gameplay The background of the action is a vast stretch of space, densely populated with planets, adventures and alien races. The creators made it possible to visit it without any restrictions: we choose the route, tasks and the way of their implementation ourselves. It is necessary to gather resources, fight enemies, search for artifacts of extinct civilizations, and deal with natural forces such as gravitational anomalies, radiation or extremely high temperatures. It is also possible to land on surfaces and obtain materials there, and to complete quests commissioned by other races. The game has a gravitational force simulation system. When steering a ship, we have to correct the orbits of the celestial bodies and plan the course to limit fuel loss. Players take on the role of a talented thief named Teriel . As a result of a series of unfortunate events during the last jump, the protagonist is sent to the prison island of Peh accompanied by the "demon" Artanak, which has settled in his mind. Teriel is to carry out a secret mission on which the fate of the entire Empire may depend. Gameplay The action in Seven: The Days Long Gone is shown in isometric projection, and the gameplay model largely resembles a stealth game . We move on the rooftops, silently sneak between the guards and disguise ourselves as enemies, and if necessary, attack by surprise. Seven: The Days Long Gone is a stealth RPG by the Polish studio Fool's Theory . Featured title is the first project of this team, but this does not mean that individual workers do not have any experience - on the contrary, the company employs people who previously worked on such blockbusters as The Witcher 2: Assassins of King and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Fool's Theory worked closely on the development of the game with IMGN.PRO who also acted as the publisher of Seven . Story The action takes place in the dark Empire of Vetrall - a power created on the ruins of an ancient civilization , which hundreds of years earlier was turned to ashes by a devastating war on a global scale, shifting humanity in technological development almost to the level of the Middle Ages. Players take on the role of a talented thief named Teriel . As a result of a series of unfortunate events during the last jump, the protagonist is sent to the prison island of Peh accompanied by the "demon" Artanak, which has settled in his mind. Teriel is to carry out a secret mission on which the fate of the entire Empire may depend. Gameplay The action in Seven: The Days Long Gone is shown in isometric projection, and the gameplay model largely resembles a stealth game . We move on the rooftops, silently sneak between the guards and disguise ourselves as enemies, and if necessary, attack by surprise. We also have a fairly extensive combat system at our disposal - including melee attacks combined into combos, shooting with a crossbow, throwing grenades, and even using supernatural powers - but Teriel's low durability means that getting into open conflicts is rarely a reasonable option. Peh Island is an open world filled with attractions . The latter consists mainly of side quests and collectibles, which in Seven replace the traditional character development system - we do not buy new skills for experience points, but can be found in containers scattered around Peh. Another distinguishing feature of Sevencompared to the competition, there are multi-level locations, exploring which requires a bit of thought and use of the hero's acrobatic abilities. In addition, exploration is hampered by the fact that the island has been divided into visa zones - without the appropriate pass, Teriel must avoid contact with the guards. There are also threats in the form of bandits and mutant animals. The protagonist's chances of survival are increased by a fairly extensive crafting system, such as upgrading equipment and crafting helpful gadgets. Interestingly, blueprints for new crafting items also function as collectibles.
