The work, although also known in the chamber orchestra version by Max Reger, was originally composed for string quartet (1887). The preservation of the idealized timbres by the composer, in this case supported by an proper basspart, is intended to close a clear gap in the repertoire for string orchestra.

Gallicinium, Music for the fourth nocturnal vigil for wind quintet, is the last of four compositions whose starting point is the Roman vigils of the church. The harmonies of this work alternate between chromaticism, quartertones,overtone spectra and noise, and explore the sounds of twilight, the night, spheres, dreams, sleeplessness and hallucinations.

Kadenz und Interludien zur Sonate : in a-moll für Flöte solo (Wq 132)

The ‘Cadenza and interludes’ for the Sonata in a minor for solo flute (Wq 132) by C. P. E. Bach were written to a commission from the flautist Philipp Jundt, who gave the first performance of the work on 22 May 2021. The briefcadenza was composed for a single breath, in the spirit of Quantz. The two interludes refer both motivically and harmonically to the corresponding movements of the Bach Sonata
