In this independent production, the player takes on the role of a mad gorilla, and his task is to break through the levels full of enemies and elaborate traps to end the life of the humanoid protagonist. Reminiscent of the cult Hotline Miami production is distinguished by uncompromising brutality and stimulating jazz music that adapts to the events on the monitor screen. The gorilla on its way to freedom traverses successive corridors, eliminating enemies with the strength of its muscles, using elements of the environment, such as all kinds of doors that can be used as a shield, or using enemies as living shields or projectiles. Devolver Digital is responsible for the release of the game on the PC platform, with such items as the already mentioned Hotline Miami, but also Shadow Warrior or Enter The Gungeon. The story in the game is simple. The player follows the fate of the gorilla that got out of the cage and wants to escape from those who put him in this cage, and on the way he meets resistance from guards and soldiers. In terms of mechanics, the title is a classic representative of the beat'em up genre, in which we travel through successive randomly generated labyrinths, eliminating encountered enemies. The procedural creation of a location is important because it makes it impossible to complete the game "by heart" - every turn may hide an unpleasant surprise. The action itself is presented from above, which immediately evokes associations with Hotline Miami. The controls are simple and intuitive: using the keyboard, the player controls the character, while the mouse is responsible for hitting, as well as for grabbing objects and enemies and throwing them over walls; on the other hand, both analog sticks are responsible for character movement and attacks. In Ape Out, you mainly use the strength of the hero's muscles, which literally crushes enemies with his paws, leaving bloody stains after them. It is also possible to use elements of the environment in the form of a shield, while the opponents themselves, after being captured, can become a kind of thrown ranged weapon. The enemies themselves come in several types, differing in the type of weapons. So you can meet guards equipped with both regular rifles and flamethrowers. It is worth emphasizing that fire burns not only the main character of the game, but also everyone who gets under its stream. Not a Hero is a fast-paced, old-school 2D shooter for PC, PS4, etc., in which we play the role of a gunslinger in the service of the local mayor. The production was prepared by the independent London studio Roll7, known for the similarly styled graphic skateboard game OlliOlli . Story The action of the game takes us to an undefined city, where one of the candidates for mayor is the anthropomorphic BunnyLord rabbit, who came from the future. One of the elements of his unusual campaign is to rid the city of criminals and thugs who could threaten the election results. A certain Steve, known for his shooting skills and exceptional lack of self-preservation instinct, offers his services to the mysterious stranger . His task is to create a team of similar tough guys and clean five city districts of the rampant crime there. Gameplay Not a Hero consists of a series of dynamic missions, during which we play the role of various members of Steve's team, performing subsequent tasks set by BunnyLord. They are short and usually boil down to clearing the building of enemies and reaching the exit, although we will also meet with slightly more "ambitious" goals, such as hacking the terminal or planting explosives. The character we control can hide behind the elements of the environment to attack the surprised enemies at the right moment. Interestingly, they react to the sound of reloading weapons, deciding to attack at such a moment. Therefore, among others among the available arsenal of weapons that determine the style of the game, we can also find a silent and effective katana and other more sophisticated tools of extermination, such as a bomb attached to a kitten's back. Our achievements in each of the subsequent missions are scored, and one of the factors increasing the point multiplier is the effective series of kills. An interesting fact is that in the special edition of the game, entitled Not a Hero: Super Snazzy Edition, it is also possible to play the BunnyLord as part of the Me, Myself & BunnyLord campaign that was not available before . This version offers a new adventure with three new missions, new villains, and more challenging challenges.

The title was developed by Daniel Mullins - an independent developer with the original Pony Island and The Hex in his portfolio.The action of Inscryption takes place entirely in Lesze's cottage. In order to get out of it, the hero we play as has to fight a fierce card duel with an unusual host and emerge victorious from it. Our head is in this, so that the victory would not be paid for with his blood ...In Inscryption, the action is shown from the first person perspective (FPP). During the game, we spend most of the time at the table on which Leszy has spread the map of the forest. The events that we encounter when moving our figurine around it are presented in the form of card battles. During them, we play cards decorated with lively (and talkative) images of various forest animals, such as squirrels, birds, wolves and bears. Each of them has an individual set of strengths and weaknesses; while some are great as "cannon fodder" or food for more powerful individuals (so the latter can become stronger), others should be kept for special occasions.We are informed about who is closer to the loser by the scales, whose scales are tilted towards the protagonist or Lesze. When we lose our leg and the scales of victory turn to the side of our grim host, we can take the last chance, which is to sacrifice part of our body in exchange for the opportunity to continue the game. Each such decision should be carefully considered because it has specific consequences. For example, without an eye, we cannot see part of the table, but without hands ... well, we cannot play more cards.This is not the end, because Inscryption also allows us to get up from the table and wander around Leszno's hut. There are a number of items hidden in it that both serve to solve various puzzles made in the style of escape rooms, and provide scraps of information about this place and its host.
