Photinia x Fraseri 'Nana' - Shrub

Photinia x Fraseri 'Nana' - Shrub

Photinia x Fraseri "Nana", also known as Little Red Robin or occasionally the Christmas Berry, is a group of evergreen shrubs grown specifically for glossy, dark green adult foliage, white flowers and brilliant red tinted young leaves; in the spring, they unfold to give a stunning display. The best known of the photinias is Photinia Red Robin, which is often planted as a specimen shrub or as a dense, evergreen hedge. A Christmas Berry Red Robin puts on a show all year round, with white springtime flowers and new leaves that start out as a vibrant red, before darkening to a glossy green as they age. These bright colours are popular with wildlife, but due to its loose branch structure, birds are unlikely to choose the Red Robin as a nesting location (which is ironic). Christmas Berry Red Robins are an excellent choice for creating interesting hedges and borders. Product Dimensions Height 30-40 cm / 0.9-1.3 ft: 7 litre pot; Height 40-50 cm / 1.3-1.6 ft: 10 litre pot; Height 50-60 cm / 1.6-2.0 ft: 15 litre pot; Latin Name: Photinia x Fraseri "Nana", Photinia x Fraseri 'Little Red Robin' English Name: Christmas Berry Red Robin, Photinia Red Robin, Red Robin, Fraser Photinia Species: Rosaceae Genus: Photinia Foliage Type: Evergreen. Golden Bamboo (Bambusa Phyllostachys Aurea)

Golden Bamboo (Bambusa Phyllostachys Aurea)

An evergreen bamboo with strong yellow canes. Available from us in heights of up to 7 meters tall! Golden Bamboo is a graceful-grower – it produces large clumps of slender green canes that turn to a bold yellow as they age. Its long finger-shaped leaves are a mix of yellow and green – colours that you can enjoy all year round, thanks to their evergreen quality. Golden Bamboo is extremely hardy against frost, but has little tolerance towards drought and so it may need to be watered during summer heatwaves. Bamboo is one of the world’s fastest growing plant-types. Traditionally from Asia, its hardiness means it can actually be grown very easily in Britain – visitors to your garden will be surprised and impressed to see it there. As a forest plant, it appreciates a steady supply of moisture and compost. And as an enthusiastic grower, you should give Bamboo room to expand, we suggest placing infant plants about 100cm apart. Cotinus Coggygria ‘Royal Purple’ (Smoke Tree ‘Royal Purple’) - Shrub

Smoke Tree 'Royal Purple' is notable for its deep, rich purple leaves that emerge in spring and maintain their vibrant color through summer, before turning a brilliant red or orange in autumn. In early summer, 'Royal Purple' produces large, airy clusters of tiny flowers that develop into fluffy, smoky seed heads, giving the plant its common name. These plumes add an ethereal quality to the shrub, making it a focal point in any garden setting. The plant works well in various garden styles, from contemporary to cottage gardens. It can be used as a standalone specimen, in mixed borders, or as part of a larger shrubbery. Plant Smoke Tree 'Royal Purple' in a sunny or partially shaded location. Variegated Holly Olive (Osmanthus Heterophyllus Variegatus) - Shrub

Variegated Holly Olive (Osmanthus Heterophyllus Variegatus) - Shrub

A slow-growing shrub with dark green leaves that are edged with cream and have a similar shape to holly. Variegated Holly Olive is doubly-deceitful, not only is it a "false holly" (as it belongs to the Oleaceae "olive" family), but the black berries it produces are a long way from the tasty olives you'll find at the supermarket! The leaves of Variegated Holly Olive are smaller than those of genuine holly bushes, but they are just as prickly. This makes them a great choice for creating bright and colourful hedges and borders that will keep out unwanted animals like the neighbourhood cat. All of our Hedging Plants allow you to style your garden in a range of different ways, not just because of their varied colours, but also because of the way you choose to trim and maintain them. Prune them regularly to achieve a neat, clean form, or let them bush-out a little to create a more natural appearance. Whether you're using a hedge to give your garden some privacy, or as protection from the weather, road and noise pollution, you'll want to choose a plant that complements the rest of your garden's visual appearance. All of our Hedging Plants have evergreen foliage – giving you some pleasant greenery to look at all-year-round. Cordyline Australis (New Zealand Cabbage Tree) - Single Trunk

Cordyline Australis (New Zealand Cabbage Tree) - Single Trunk

Cordyline Australis is a widely branched monocot tree commonly known as the Torbay Palm or Cabbage Tree. Torbay Palm is a popular choice for coastal and urban gardens in the warmer parts of Britain because it gradually sheds the older leaves giving it an exotic palm-like appearance. Young cordylines are often used in bedding and container displays and make good house or conservatory plants. Numerous cultivars are available with attractive foliage in shades of green, bronze, purple. They naturally hybridise among themselves and with related species like Cordyline indivisa. Mature specimens of Cordyline australis will flower in summer and produce white fruit clusters in autumn that are a good food source for birds. The plant though is not very hardy at only H3 so make sure to shelter during the winter time. No pruning is required for this plant.
