Fireclass 4B 4 Detector BaseThe 4B 517.050.041 detector base is intended for use in installations where a short circuit isolator or continuity functionality is not required. It is compatible with the Ceiling Tile Adapter which can reduce installation time by up to 30. The base is designed to snap-fit into the Ceiling Tile Adapter for easy installation.Additionally the base can be securely fixed to a ceiling electrical box or deckhead mount using screws in a conventional manner. A park position feature allows the detector to be mechanically attached to the 4B base without establishing electrical connections making it easier to test electronic-free bases. For optimal placement the base should be installed with the park plunger facing the door or a frequently accessed area.
