Denim black 10oz

Denim black 10oz

Black Denim is a classic fabricThe heavy and completely dark finish with the classic denim texture is perfect for both classic and contemporary design. It stands out with leather features if you need a cool travel or toiletry bag, for example. And of course, it looks great with a classic cowboy jacket and jeans (maybe even with a bold pocket in the centre of the leg?)  Explore denimDo you like to be creative and explore new ideas? Use a piece of leftover fabric and try different techniques! Some make holes by cutting or scratching the fabric - others use sandpaper. Experiment until you find the look that suits your design.  That's why we love denim!Denim is a great fabric. So there you have it. Jeans and denim have been a staple in many wardrobes for years, and for good reason! It's a classic that everyone can wear and you can use it for all kinds of creative endeavours.Denim is made from cotton yarn woven in a tight twill weave, making it a highly durable and long-lasting fabric. It also has a distinctive texture that develops a beautiful patina over time - both with use and washing. Additional detailsThis denim is made from 100% cotton - a heavyweight quality of 10 oz (1 oz (ounce) equals approximately 28 grams. A higher number means a heavier/higher density fabric). The fabric measures 145 cm in width, and of course you can choose the length yourself, but remember to factor in that it shrinks 5% when washed.  NB: Always wash denim before use to avoid staining.  Remember to use a jeans needle and a denim thread.

Woven rainwear quality black

Woven rainwear quality black

Wind and waterproof, ready for the rain Rainwear is practical when it's raining, but the fact is, it can be challenging to find rainwear with a good fit. The legs are too long, the sleeves too wide, and that small pocket for the key is missing. You can solve this by designing and sewing your own rainwear! Choose, for instance, this exquisite rainwear quality, which is soft, fabric-like and sporty in its expression. It has a membrane on the back, making it perfect for all weather conditions – and suitable for both children and adults. The quality is wind and waterproof with a water column pressure of 7,000 mm and good breathability of 3,000 mm. Sew smart rainwear This material is naturally suited for classic rainwear that you can adjust to your exact size. However, the fabric-like surface also makes it especially suitable for a neat waterproof coat or perhaps an all-in-one suit with a tie belt at the waist? Alternatively, you can use this fabric as the backside for a picnic blanket, ensuring everyone sits dry and comfortable – even if it's rained in the past few days or the dew has set in. Keep your project waterproof by using the right seams: Search for "seam tape for rainwear fabric" and find a free guide. About water column pressure Water column pressure indicates the height of a water column the material can withstand before water begins to penetrate. The higher the water column pressure, the more waterproof. A good rule of thumb is that +2,000 mm is suitable for light rain showers/short trips in the rain, while +5,000 is for a heavier rain shower or a few hours in light rain. If you're out in heavy rain, we recommend +8,000 mm. Some practical details This fabric consists of 100% polyester and measures 140 cm in width, and you, of course, choose the length you need for your DIY project. We recommend using a universal needle size 70. What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®? OEKO-TEX® is the world's leading health label for textiles. When the fabric is certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, it's your guarantee that it has been tested and approved and is free from any harmful chemicals.
