Lexicomm ViLX-EX8-8 8 Line System Expander PanelThe Lexicomm ViLX-EX8 system expander panel is utilised to expand the Lexicomm Network System it can accept up to eight lines of outstation and is compatible with all Lexicomm devices.Lines auto identify by flashing Red for EVCS calls Blue for assist calls or flashing Green for Connected calls as detailed in BS5839pt92011.The ViLX-EX8 has inbuilt networking allowing it to form one of the 64 panels on a Lexicomm network installation allowing a total of 512 outstations to be accommodated. Each panel on the Lexicomm network can be a master station or ViLX-EX8 system expander.The display on the front of the ViLX-EX8 gives the current call or fault status of each line of the local panel aiding fault finding. The case is made from powder coated Zintec with fourteen 20mm cable knock-outs provided for all necessary cables as well as space for the single 12V 7AH VRSLA backup battery which is required.The Lexicomm ViLX-EX8 is a self-contained enclosure housing a display one to four dual line cards an EN54-4A2 2006 power supply battery charger and is surface mounted the small form factor makes it ideal for locating in electrical risers.The case is made from powder coated zintec with fourteen 20mm cable knock-outs provided for all necessary cables as well as space for the single 12V VRSLA backup battery required. The system expander panel is configured from any master station on the system using a spreadsheet excel or open office and installed via an MMC card.Each outstation has three labels one for Emergency Assist one for EVCS and one for Fault text each label is two lines of twenty characters. Built in network allows for a master slave system or can be connected as a local master station as part of a 64 panel Lexicomm Network system for larger network projects. 8x front panel buttons with PGB LEDs and 7 status LEDs can be expanded to up to 8 lines using ViLX-LC2. This unit fully complies to BS5839 part 9 2011.The Lexicomm ViLX-228 Master station can accept up to eight lines of outstation type A fixed phones type B refuge hands free points emergency assist call point or jack points in Far East and Middle East applications as required. Lexicomm ViLX-IPB IP66 Weatherproof Type B Refuge PointThe ViLX-IPB is a type B EVCS outstation for use in outdoor or exposed areas and is compatible with the Lexicomm standalone and network EVCS systems. The outstation is supplied within an compact IP65 enclosure which is externally signed as required by Building Regulations Approved Document B. Type B outstations should be placed in disabled refuge locations as described in Building Regulations Approved Document B and BS99992017.Mounting the UnitThe ViLX-IPB unit should be mounted at a height of 900mm to 1200mm from the centre line to the finished floor level to comply with the requirements of Building Regulations Document M Access for the Disabled. When drilling any holes for cable access ensure any bare metal is treated with an antioxidant primer and all cable glands meet IP65 and are correctly tightened. Ensure all mounting holes have the screw seals correctly fitted failure to ensure this will compromise the IP rating of the enclosure.
