Neon Abyss is a roguelike production in the convention of an action platform game. The title was developed by the independent studio Veewo Games.
In Neon Abyss, we take control of one of the heroes traversing the dungeon full of dangers. The protagonists are trying at all costs to find a way to remove the curse that made them immortal.
Before starting to play Neon Abyss, we choose one of several characters that differ in terms of appearance and skills. During the game, we observe the action from the side, and while traversing procedurally generated locations, we jump on platforms, avoid traps and eliminate hordes of enemies (including powerful bosses).
The creators provide us with an extensive arsenal of firearms and futuristic guns like laser rifles. In addition, as we progress, we acquire items that provide us with various passive skills, the effects of which can be freely mixed with each other. Eggs were also scattered around the dungeons; they hatch animal companions endowed with special abilities, the potential of which grows as you progress.
If we happen to die, we head back to the Day's End bar, where we can get ready for the next crossing. It should be remembered that each death leads to changes in the layout of the locations that make up a clever labyrinth; over time, we unlock new rooms offering previously unavailable items and challenges. All this is complemented by mini-games involving, among others, dancing or even playing the piano.
