Talentum 16589-00 Triple IR Flame Detector UnitThe Talentum triple Infra-Red IR Flame Detector is designed to protect areas where open fires may be expected and detects almost all flames including hydrocarbon fires with 4.3 m emissions through to invisible fires such as hydrogen. The IR Flame Detector is sensitive to flickering low frequency 1- 15Hz infra-red radiation emitted by flames during combustion even if the lens is contaminated by a layer of oil dust water vapour or ice.This detector has three IR sensors which respond to different IR wavelengths in order to discriminate between flames and spurious sources of radiation. False alarms from flickering sunlight are avoided by a combination of filters and signal processing techniques. Talentum Triple IR Flame Detector 16519The sensor responds to low-frequency 1 to 15 Hz flickering IR radiation emitted from flames during combustion. IR flame flicker techniques enable the sensor to operate through a layer of oil dust water vapour or ice. Most other IR flame sensors respond to 4.3m light emitted by hydrocarbon flames. By responding to 1.0 to 2.7m light emissions from fires almost all flickering flames can be detected.Gas fires not visible to the naked eye e.g. hydrogen may also be detected. The triple IR photoelectric detectors IR responding to neighbouring IR wavelengths enable it to discriminate between flames and spurious sources of IR radiation. Talentum 1800-012 TT2 Calibration KitThe TalentumTT2 calibration kit enables in-situ adjustment of installed Talentum Flame Detectors bringing them back to factory fresh performance extending their service life.The kit comprises an infra-red excluding Shroud needed to eliminate potential interference from external warm bodies and an interface cable to attach to a Talentum service port.Simply hook the Shroud onto the front of the TalentumTT2 and connect the interface cable to the front of the Talentum Flame Detector to recalibrate. Then select the Recalibrate Talentum option from the TalentumTT2 main menu and follow the on-screen prompts.Recalibration takes around one minute and is fully automated using the TalentumTT2s on-board microprocessor which calculates the optimum settings.The new settings as well as a unique calibration reference number are stored in the TalentumTT2s memory which can later be downloaded to a PC for further analysis and to provide a record of the operation.
