The FabricThe rib fabric is knitted and made of 97% organic cotton and 3% elastane. It is 145 cm wide and you should expect it to shrink approximately 6% in the wash. We recommend that you wash the fabric before starting to pattern, cut and sew to ensure the best result matching the right size. How to Sew Bias Tape Bias tapes are for sewing on curves, corners, and straight stretches. When you sew the bias tape onto your project, you sew with straight stitches at about a 2.5 cm stitch length. While sewing, don't pull or stretch it. Let it align perfectly along the edge, ensuring a neat result. TIP When you start sewing your bias tape, fold about 2 cm in, so it's double-layered. Unleash Your Imagination When discussing cotton jersey, you can't ignore the classic designs: The simple top with short or long sleeves and the popular leggings for children and adults; the material is simply perfect for these classics. But you can also let your imagination run wild and experiment with the fabric for skirts and dresses or exciting new trousers and tops. Regardless of what you choose, cotton jersey is a versatile and soft material – and a clear favourite among children and adults. A Bit About the Practicalities This fabric is made of 92% organic cotton and 8% elastane. It has a width of 150 cm, and of course, you decide the length you wish to order. When working with jersey, we recommend using a jersey needle, characterised by its medium point – also known as ball point. The needle easily penetrates the knitted quality and prevents stitches and threads from running. For this type of jersey, we recommend jersey needles in size 70/80. Partly Organic Products with this label contain a minimum of 25% organic content. For example, fabrics with organic cotton mixed with other fibres. We've introduced this label to make it easier for you to identify the proportion of organic material.

Polar fleece light blue

The loveliest projects in fleeceFind your favourite colour and start creating your new project! Polar fleece is light, soft and stretchy - a great material that also insulates. That means it's perfect for lining a jacket or a nice, fluffy vest, for example. This is how easy it is to make a fleece blanketChoose the colour and cut the blanket to the exact size you want and voila: you have a new fleece blanket. It doesn't get any easier than this. And yes - it's good enough - you don't need to sew the edges; the material won't run. If you want to give your rug a nice finish with a sewn edge, we recommend using jersey needles, which are specially developed for qualities like this. They penetrate the fabric easily without leaving holes. Or how about making a reversible blanket or vest with two different colours of fleece - double up on warmth, softness and use. Fleece dries quickly, is robust and durable and therefore very easy to bring along, for example as extra blankets in the caravan. Practical information about polar fleeceThe fabric is 145 cm wide and you buy it by the metre, so you get the length you need. It's easy to throw in the washing machine at 40° max and is quick-drying, but can also be tumble-dried at a low temperature if you need it faster. Be aware that it shrinks about 3% in the wash, so it's a good idea to wash the fabric before starting your project.
