The built-in thermostat automatically controls the temperature and once the correct temperature is reached the warmer holds it there until the machine is switched off for consistent heat output. When in use, the power switch illuminates to let you know the machine is on. Initially the switch will be red as it warms up but will eventually transition to green to indicate that the optimum temperature has been reached. With an auto shut off feature, it ensures that the towel warmer doesn't overheat for ultimate safety standards.
