Icelandic Poppies like plenty of sunshine. They grow well in most light, well-drained soils but until established they require watering on a weekly basis or when the first one to two inches of soil becomes dry. Remove dead flower stems to prolong flowering, but leave a few at the end of the season if you would like your Poppies to self-seed for the following year.
