Deciduous tree which is greatly appreciated for its elegant foliage, beautiful flowers and long lasting, ornamental fruit. Bright green, pinnate leaves made up of oval-lanceolate leaflets, 3-5 cm; lovely golden yellow autumn colouring. Fragrant, mauve, star- shaped flowers in 10-20 cm panicles. Round, yellow fruit follow; the fruits last until spring making the tree very decorative in winter. No particular requirements as regards the soil provided it is well drained.
