Taking cues from the Ladies  Darkspeed Driver, Fairway and Hybrid designs, a new hollow body construction creates a thinner and more responsive clubhead structure that unlocks up to 25% more face flection for faster ball speeds and longer distance. To achieve enhanced sound and feel, the hollow body of the new Cobra Darkspeed Womens Irons is injected with foam microspheres, which expand to fill the internal cavity. Once injected the foam supports the PWR-BRIDGE weight while also providing vibration-dampening properties for a soft feel and pleasing sound. For optimised performance through the set, the Darkspeed Womens Irons feature a progressive TECFLO construction that transitions from a full hollow design with PWR-BRIDGE and PWRSHELL in the 5-7 irons, to full hollow body with no face insert in the 8-PW, to a half hollow design in the GW-SW. Cobra LTDx Women’s Golf Hybrid The LTDx Women’s Hybrid has been designed for pure distance, high launch and straight ball flight. Within the head of the club sits a multi material weighting system that combines steel, titanium and aluminium to create the PWR-COR. This weighting system is placed low and forward in the head of the driver to create lower levels of spin but faster ball speeds to maximise the distance that the ball can be struck. For the Ladies LTDx Cobra decided to use the pwrshell face cup design and paired it with their H.O.T face technology. The pwrshell is a forged face cup that is designed to increase flex across the face and sole to create faster ball speed and higher launch. The H.O.T face uses 15 hot zones, which are all different levels of thickness, to allow for increased ball speed across a wider area of the face. To make sure that golfers were getting a hybrid that could be used in any area of the golf course Cobra placed two baffler rails on to the sole of the club. Attaching the baffler rails ensures that players will experience effortless gliding on swings out of tight lies, thick rough and even bunkers. This ability to experience a smoother shot in harsher conditions will give golfers the confidence to put more power behind their shots to reach the targets they want. This club is available with a Lamkin Crossline Undersize black grip and uses a KBS PGI 55 shaft which comes in an elderberry/black colourway. WHY WE MADE IT In early testing, we found drastic performance improvements were possible if we pushed the shape beyond the boundaries of the conventional game-improvement iron. This lead to the introduction of SPEEDBACK Technology - a revolutionary advancement in iron shaping that optimizes low CG and high MOI for true distance with forgiveness. SPEEDBACK DESIGN Much like a wide-body kit adds to the stability of a racecar, SPEEDBACK shaping utilizes a belt of steel that adds mass low and wide, creating a lower, deeper CG that maximizes ball speed, launch and carry while maintaining a conventional sole width. BEST IN CLASS FEEL. A 3-piece multi-material medallion combines aluminum, TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) and acrylic foam. These lightweight materials damp vibrations to promote a softer, more responsive feel that is not normally found in a game improvement iron. CNC MILLED FACE AND GROOVES. CNC milling is a highly precise manufacturing method that is typically only found in forged player's irons. This process allows us to create perfectly flat faces, and precise lofts and groove shapes in every iron we manufacture. PROGRESSIVE SPIN TECHNOLOGY. Progressive groove shapes are CNC milled into each face to optimize spin performance in the long irons, mid-irons and wedges. PROGRESSIVE HOSEL LENGTHS. Shorter hosels in the long irons (4-6) lower the CG to increase launch and distance, medium hosels in the mid irons (7-9 iron) create a gradual transition from the long irons and taller hosels in the wedges (GW-SW) raise the CG to promote control and accuracy.
