Apollo Xpander Diversity Loop Interface Unit - XPA-IN-14050-APO

Please note The XPA-IN-14050-APO does not support CoreProtocol installations.Apollo Xpander Diversity Loop Interface Unit - XPA-IN-14050-APOThe XPander Diversity Loop Interface Unit can monitor up to 31 XPander devices and report each devices status to an intelligent fire control panel.Brand InformationXPander incorporates entirely new designs with respect to the wireless communication system. A Radio Interface is connected to the loop. It communicates with the control panel using the Apollo addressable two-wire power and communications system. The interface communicates with the detection and alarm signalling devices by means of radio waves. The detectors are multistate in that they report normal pre-alarm fire or fault states to the radio base which transmits the information to the interface. The detectors incorporate drift compensation and report any compensation limit occurring. The radio bases and signalling devices are addressable and use a pre-set analogue value to report via the XP95 or Discovery protocol. Apart from normal and fire the bases can send pre-set analogue values to indicate low battery detector contaminated detector tamper and low signal strength fault conditions.Key FeaturesConnects up to 31 XPander devices to an ApolloAddressable loopTranslates radio signals from XPander detectors to the fire control panelBuilt-in loop isolatorLoop-poweredDiversity aerial design for improved signal integrityThe entire XPander product line has a temporary four-month supply disruption starting from November 2021 with supply expecting to resume in February 2022.

Apollo Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector SA7100-100APO

Apollo Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector SA7100-100APO

Apollo Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector SA7100-100APOThe Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector combines a transmitterreceiver in the same detector head with an automatic alignment motor. This combination with integrated addressability allows for quick and simple installation. The Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector automatically compensates for environmental effects on the beam signal keeping the unit in the best possible working order. This is achieved through the combination of software automatic gain control and motorised realignment of the beam.OperationThe Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector is a compact detector for detecting smoke in large open areas such as warehouses theatres churches and sports centres. It comprises a ground level loop-powered controller a detector head with an operating range of 8m-50m and a single prism. The operating range of each detector head can be increased up to 100m by using the Extension Kit which comprises of three additional prisms. An additional detector head can be connected to the controller. Each head has a loop address. It also has a built in 20T negative bi-directional short circuit isolator and it is compatible with control panels using CoreProtocol Discovery and XP95 protocol. A built-in laser provides rapid initial alignment and thereafter the detector head will continuously automatically align and compensate for any building movement. The status of each detector can be monitored through the controller which is sited at ground level. The detector head operates both as a transmitter and a receiver. A well-defined IR beam is projected to a prism mounted on the opposite wall which is reflected back to the receiver. In the event of smoke partially obscuring the light an imbalance between the transmitted and received light will occur. The detector will then transmit an alarm value to the control panel. The detector is factory set to a beam obscuration of 35 which is the best setting for most factories and warehouses. The setting can be changed to 25 for offices and clean areas such as theatres or to 50 for hostile areas such as mills or foundries. The detector reports a pre-alarm analogue value 48 at approximately 75 of the alarm threshold. The detector compensates automatically for gradual contamination of the lenses in order to avoid false alarms. The detector is non-latching and resets 30 seconds after an alarm event ceases and in 3 seconds after the removal of a fault.Key FeaturesLoop Powered and compatible with XP95 Discovery and CoreProtocolIncorporates a bi directional short-circuit isolatorAutomatic drift compensationAutomatic resetGround level ControllerAutomatic alignment compensation for building movementLaser assisted alignment for quick installationAllows for 2 detector heads per controllerUp to 100m rangePre-alarm thresholdEN 54-12 and EN 54-17 certified

Apollo Series 65 Relay Base 12v 45681-508APO

Apollo Series 65 Relay Base 12v 45681-508The Series 65 12V Relay Base is designed for use in both fire and security systems. For fire systems a jumper on the PCB is fitted to a latching position. For security systems the jumper is moved to another position so that the base is non-latching.OperationSeries 65 Relay Bases are primarily intended for use with control units using 4-wire detector supply and alarm initiating circuits. Where local codes allow they may also be used in 2 and 4-wire circuits to provide volt-free control signals to an auxiliary system such as an automatic door closer. They are not suitable for use in systems where it is specified or required that operation of the auxiliary system shall be fail-safe and must not be used with any other type of detector.Mechanical ConstructionThe base is a white self-extinguishing polycarbonate moulding with zero-force nickel-plated steel terminals for attaching the detector. The moulding has an aperture to accept the locking grub screw built into the detector case. All electronic components including the relay are mounted on a PCB which is retained by two screws in the moulding.Product InformationThe Series 65 12V Relay Base is designed for use in both fire and security systems. Apollo SA5900-928MAR Intelligent Marine Manual Call Point

Apollo SA5900-928MAR Intelligent Marine Manual Call PointThe Intelligent Marine Manual Call Point MCP has been designed to operate on a loop of intelligent fire detection devices. An alarm is initiated by pressing the resettable element. The MCP signals to the Fire Control Panel using an interrupt feature within the Apollo Digital Communication Protocol. An alarm status is indicated through the rotation of the resettable element displaying yellow and black indication bars and a solid red LED. The MCP can be easily reset from the front using the supplied reset key. The Intelligent Marine MCP is intended for indoor marine and offshore applications and has a built-in short circuit isolator.OperationThe address of each call point is set at the commissioning stage by means of a DIL switch. A solid red alarm LED is provided on the manual call point. This LED is controlled independently of the call point by the control panel. The LED will flash yellow if there is a fault and flash green when the device is polled. Discovery and CoreProtocol configurable. Once activated the Intelligent Marine Manual Call Point SIL Approved can be reset by inserting the reset key into the front facing LED turning clockwise until a positive click and reset occurs. The Intelligent Marine Manual Call Point incorporates a short circuit isolator which will ensure its operation in the event of a short circuit fault on the loop. Isolator operation is indicated by a solid yellow LED.Key FeaturesResettable element for testingEasy access front reset mechanismA unique ergonomically designedKey for resetting and front cover removal

Apollo XPander A1R Heat Detector XPA-HT-11170-APOThere are two heat detectors in the XPander range designed to suit a wide variety of operating conditions. A Static Heat Detector CS which responds only when a fixed temperature has been reached and a Rate-of-Rise Detector A1R which has a fixed upper limit but in addition measures the rate of increase in temperature.OperationHeat detectors have an open-web casing which allows air to flow freely across a thermistor which measures the air temperature every 2 seconds. A microprocessor stores the temperatures and compares them with pre-set values to determine whether a fixed upper limitthe alarm levelhas been reached. In the case of rate-of-rise detectors the microprocessor uses algorithms to determine how fast the temperature is increasing. Static heat detectors respond only when a fixed temperature has been reached. Rate-of-rise detectors have a fixed upper limit but they also measure the rate of increase in temperature. A fire might thus be detected at an earlier stage than with a static detector so that a rate-of-rise detector is to be preferred to a static heat detector unless sharp increases in temperature are part of the normal environment in the area protected by the heat detector.Key FeaturesWireless Can be used in applications where smoke detectors are unsuitableIdeal for environments that are dirty or smoky under normal conditionsCS detectors are ideal for use in environments with rapid temperature fluctuations such as boiler rooms Bi-directional monitored radio platformFive-year battery life using standard AA alkaline batteries
