Griftlands is a card game with elements typical of roguelike games. The production is set in a post-apocalyptic universe, inhabited by various races and full of dangers. Klei Entertainment studio, which is known for operating in many genres, is responsible for the development and publication of this title - the authors include from the Don't Starve series, Mark of the Ninja stealth games or the Oxygen Not Included space colony simulator. Story The Griftlands universe is definitely not human friendly. Rust-covered port settlements, dusty shops, dirty factories and dingy taverns are the only substitutes for civilization that separate small communities from hostile wilderness, filled with monsters and other filth. The world is inhabited by a variety of intelligent and humanoid races. Some of the characters we meet resemble snails, others are horned warriors with earthy skin, and others are reminiscent of cats or other furry animals. Two-legged robots are also not ordinary machines, but independent units with their own goals and character. This is where the player-led hero arrives (we can control one of the three characters). Gameplay Playing Griftlands is about performing tasks that are presented in the form of clashes or situations to be solved - they include attempts at negotiation, manipulation and classic clashes with enemies that we know from many other games. We deal with challenges using cards that are responsible for various maneuvers and behaviors. As the game progresses, we gradually acquire new cards, increasing the range of available options. Importantly, we build not one, but two decks - the first one is useful in clashes, while the second one helps us in all situations that require charisma, cunning or persuasion.
