Tito's Handmade Vodka 70cl

Tito's Handmade Vodka "I was raised that if you are going to do something, do it right, do it better than anyone else, and charge a reasonable price." - Tito This is the ethos that is behind Tito's Vodka. Indeed, prior to Bert 'Tito' Beveridge creating his vodka, he went out and purchased every vodka he could. He found the two best, and then when he managed to distill a vodka which consistently beat these - he felt he had his final recipe. So, in 1995 Tito got the first (legal) permit to distill in Texas (USA), and started creating his Vodka. The label is simple, and created by Tito himself. He didn't want to add any unnecessary costs, or distract from what was inside the bottle. They batch distill their vodka (which is corn-based, not the more common potato or wheat) using old-fashioned pot stills and due to the corn base, the vodka is naturally Gluten-Free. The distillation is done a total of six times to ensure it's smoothness. This is a vodka which is perfectly neutral, and extremely smooth. Read more about Tito's Perfect Serve This works perfectly as a shot due to its smoothness. However it works just as well with orange juice (a Screwdriver Cocktail), or with a tonic. For something a little different and deliciously floral, try with Thomas Henry's Cherry Blossom Tonic. Take a tall glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the vodka. Pour over 200ml of the tonic and stir gently.

Aurora Floral Gin 10cl

Aurora Floral Gin For our floral gin, we reached out to our friends at DelRey Distillery, who used their skill and passion to create this delicious floral gin. Made for real gin lovers (well.... we would say we love Gin!), this was one of the fundamentals which were thought about when creating this gin. In addition to juniper (it is a gin after all), Egyptian Chamomile is one of the main botanicals used (known for its quality), which ensures a quality and refined floral aroma and flavour on the palate Whilst the full blend of botanicals is a most closely guarded secret (we don't want to give everything away now do we!), this is a bright gin with a defined and floral edge to it. This is joined by a delicate sweetness that enhances the botanical flavours and rounds out the gin on the palate. A blend of three gingers (from Nigeria, Cochin and the Ivory Coast) is used to create this award-winning Ginger Beer. Take 60ml of rum (we like this with Bacardi Carta Negra, but any dark rum will do), and add 100ml of ginger beer in a large glass filled with ice. Squeeze a wedge of lime into the glass, then add as a garnish. Another classic is the Moscow Mule. For this, in a large glass filled with ice, and add 45ml of vodka (we love this with Riga Black Vodka, but any neutral vodka is fine). Add 10ml of Rose's Lime and 120ml of ginger beer. Stir gently, and garnish with a lime slice. However, its also really warming and pleasantly refreshing drunk on its own, when you feel like a bit of a kick in the tastebuds.

This Soda Water is Fever-Tree's simplest product. They use natural spring water (with a low mineral content) and then carbonate it with a high level of carbonation with lots of very fine bubbles (a higher than usual level of carbonation), they then add just the right amount of bicarbonate of soda, which is used to add a minerality that enhances naturally occuring flavours in the premium spirits it's paired with. Zuidam Dutch Courage Dry Gin 1L

Zuidam Dutch Courage Dry Gin Not only do the Zuidam Distillers have a great family of gins under the Dutch Courage label, but they are also hand-made by two generations of distillers, father Fred and son Patrick van Zuidam The term Dutch Courage dates back to the 17th century. It was noted the British saw the effects that drinking the typically Dutch Genever (the precursor to modern gin) had on the Dutch - giving courage before a battle. The term "Dutch Courage" came about.... this may not be 100% true.... but it makes for a great story! So... whilst Zuidam's gins won't necessarily fill you with courage, we certainly believe they will give you a superb drink! Their core gin is made with nine carefully chosen botanicals from around the world ( Angelica, Cardamom, Coriander, Juniper, Lemon, Licorice, Orange, Orris Root and Vanilla). This gives a perfectly layered gin. The initial nose is full of pine and citrus, and a touch of exotic spice from coriander. It entices into the drink - and gives a classic gin aroma. The taste starts full of citrus again, but has notes of spice to it. Violet, anise and juniper (with its pine flavour) also make an appearance. As the drink finishes in the mouth there are flavours of nuts which come through, specifically nutmeg and walnuts. It clears the palate nicely - not overly lingering, and leads this to being a deliciously dry, and easy to drink gin. Read more about Zuidam Perfect Serve Fairly classic gin flavours mean this gin works well for experimenting with your favourite tonic. We do like this one with Fever-Tree Indian Tonic though. 50ml of the gin to 150ml of tonic works well. Plenty of ice, and a citrus garnish. Being slightly stronger, this also holds its flavour and works well in cocktails. We particularly liked this in a French 75.

Filliers Dry Gin 28 Pink Distilling for over five generations, the Filliers distillery was initially only a side venture to their farming business. It's this history, dating from 1880 that ensures Filliers create delicious and well loved drinks. They do as much on-site as they can. They pump their own spring water, gind the grain, create their own fruit and herb distillates, ferment, distill and age. Utilising this experience, in 2018 Filliers expanded their range of gins, and introduced their Pink gin. This uses their Filliers Dry Gin 28 as a base, and is enhanced and softened with the addition of fresh raspberries and goji berries. The Goji berry has a reputation as a superfood, and is said to repair muscles, protect against illness and most important of all, to calm your soul. Whilst we can't attest to any of these benefits by drinking their gin, we do know it adds a delicious flavour! The addition of raspberry juice blends with the goji berries and vanilla from the original recipe. It provides a delicious and engaging palette of fruity flavours, as well as ensuring a delightfully fresh pink colour. Overall this is a mildy spiced gin with a touch of sweetness which is given by the raspberries. The refreshing citrus elements in the original recipe are still noticeable, and blend perfectly with the fruitiness. More from Filliers Perfect Serve This works deliciously in a pink gin & tonic. Rebel 10 Year Single Barrel Bourbon 70cl

Rebel 10 Year Single Barrel Bourbon Founded in 1849 by William Larue Weller, Rebel have been defying trends since the very beginning. At that time the everyone was creating bourbon using a rye mashbill. They decided to do things differently, and pioneered wheat-based bourbon.  Now, over 170 years later, they continue to defy trends - whilst also winning awards with their wheated recipe.   For their 10 Year edition, Rebel have aged their Bourbon in charred oak barrels. This 10 year ageing creates a unique flavour profile for each batch, due to the characteristics imparted by the barrels. One-of-a-kind, 'just like the rebels who drink it'. The initial flavours of this bourbon are caramel and citrus. However as the drink progresses, these develop into delicious velvety oak flavours, with just the right amount of spiciness. Dingle Gin (Mini) 5cl

Dingle Original Pot Still Gin This gin isn't just made in Ireland, it uses a lot of the local flora to create the unique recipe behind Dingle. The aim was to create a totally unique gin. One keeping to the great tradition of gin distilling but which also came with a degree of innovation.  Made in Co. Kerry (Ireland), they went through a long process to finalise their recipe. Giving this London Dry gin its unique taste they took rowan berries from the mountain ash trees, fuchsia, bog myrtle, hawthorn and heather which gives a real, unique taste of the Kerry landscape. Overall this is a really fresh and floral gin. Juniper is present, but the floral character helps to balance the juniper so it is not overpowering. Read more about Dingle Perfect Serve Our perfect serve suggestion for Dingle is a classic gin tonic. In a large copa glass filled with ice, add 50ml of the gin and mix with 150ml of Three Cents Tonic Water (we like this one as it doesn't mask any of the flavours in the gin). Garnish with a couple of slices of citrus (we suggest slices of orange) and a sprinkling of juniper berries. Scapegrace Vodka 70cl

Scapegrace Vodka Following the success of their award-winning gin, Scapegrace have now created their own Vodka. They use a similar approach in making their vodka as they do to their gin. It's made in Canterbury, New Zealand, and uses a wheat-based neutral grain spirit, and 100% artisanal water. Whereas other vodka producers go to great lengths to extol how many times they have distilled their vodka, Scapegrace create theirs using a single distillation. Using a 19th century copper pot still they believe this, and the natural components found in the water and grain add a uniqueness to the vodka. The resul is a vodka which coats the mouth perfectly with a thick consistency and a delicious creaminess. There is a slight sweetness to it, leaving a creamy pavlova finish. This is a delicious, simple, and honest vodka. Read more about Scapegrace Perfect Serve Delicious enjoyed ice cold neat, but it also works exceptionally well in the mix. We love this in a Cloud 9 cocktail. In a mixing glass filled with ice, add 60ml of the vodka, 1 dash of Angostura Orange bitters, 10ml Cinzano Bianco and 5ml of olive brine. Inspiration comes from the  beautiful lavender fields and gardens in Ramatuelle (just south of Saint-Tropez), as well as the plethora of mediterranean herbs found in the area. Not to mention the 'joie de vie' of the area. The distillation process ensures a balance between juniper, lavender and other botanicals. (These include caraway seeds, coriander and angelica root - but the rest remain a secret). The result is a delicately floral gin, which is also perfectly refreshing. Just what is needed in the warm, sunny mediterranean.  Perfect Serve For a delicious Mediterranean Gin & Tonic, take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of your chosen tonic and garnish with a slice of lemon or lime.   This works with a quality neutral tonic, but also a mediterranean inspired tonic such as Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic, or our favourite, Franklin & Sons Mallorcan Tonic.

In 1620 he built the first navigable submarine, which he took on a test drive in the River Thames in London. Hand-crafted in small batches, using centuries old, traditional artisanal Dutch distilling methods, Drebbel Gin uses 8 all-natural and carefully hand selected botanicals. Using selected grain from the finest cornfields in France, the alcohol is distilled with juniper, orris root, coriander, angelica, ginger root, liquorice and vanilla. The fresh character comes from the fresh whole lemons, handpicked in southern Spain. Comes in a gift box, perfect if you're giving for a special occasion. Angostura Cocoa Bitters 10cl

Angostura Cocoa Bitters The original Angostura Aromatic Bitters were created by Dr Johann Gottlieb Benjamin Siegert, who was Surgeon General in Simon Bolivar's army in Venezuela. The drink was originally created for a use as a medicine, but survives to this day due to its wonderful richness and complexity that adds a great "extra dimension" to a drink. Their Cocoa Bitters, whilst used in a similar way to the original (enhancing drinks, deserts and food), are created using their own special recipe - using Trinitario cocoa from Trinidad and Tobago. When this cocoa is paired with 200 years of experience, a decadent indulgent new flavour was added to Angostura's portfolio of bitters! This rich, dark brown bitters has a distinct nose from the Cocoa. These are joined with warm spices, and just a hint of citrus. On the palate there are ricj, floral and nutty cocoa flavours which combine with aromatic botanicals. Together these tantalise the tastebuds in a way only cocoa can! More from The House of Angostura Perfect Serve This is a really versatile bitter, and works exceptionally well when paired with sweet vermouth or aged spirits, like whiskey, rum, cognac and tequila. However it also adds a really luxurious flavour to a main dish or sweet treat. We love this added to an espresso martini, where it gives a delicious extra note to the drink. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add 45ml of Vodka (we like Tito's, but any premium vodka will do), 15ml of coffee liqueur (we like Conker Cold Brew), 30ml of fresh espresso, 15ml of simple syrup and 6 dashes of cocoa bitters. Shake vigorously and pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a cocktail bean or two.
