Blue Bomb Dry Gin The Dutch Microdistillery have just launched a new receipe for their Blue Bomb Dry Gin. The distiller behind this vibrant coloured spirit has bold taste and Blue Bomb absolutely  refelects this.  Inside a centuries-old bell foundry in the region of Brabant (in the south of The Netherlands) is the Dutch MIcrodistillery.  Using a semi high-tech microdistillery, they have created a range of delicious, small batch spirits. From start to finish, everything is artisanally crafted - from the handpicking of the ingredients, through the distillation process, right to the bottling and labelling.  For their Blue Bomb Dry GIn, a total of 13 botanicals have been used to create the recipe. Alongside the more common gin botanicals, including juniper (of course), there are some homegrown delights and the black goji berry which contributes to the bols colouro the gin. There is a pleasent botanical taste which combines well with its soothing floral notes. X-Gin Door een samenwerking tussen Xolato's chocolatier Peter Messely en Patrick van De Moor distilleerderij, komt er iets speciaals .... X-Gin Na vele pogingen en meer dan 45 verschillende plantaardige ingrediënten was dit recept vast. Het combineert jeneverbessen met 15 kruiden en enkele van de beste kruiden die de mensheid kent. Dit zijn onder meer cacaobonen uit Colombia, wilde peper en vanille uit Madagaskar en hazelnoten uit Piemonte in Italië. Het is uniek en heerlijk licht op het palet. Er is een aanhoudende kruidigheid, met hints van chili en cacao. Jeneverbes is in het begin behoorlijk uitgesproken, maar blijft niet hangen, waardoor de andere botanicals hun eigen tijd hebben om te schitteren. The Stillery's Dutch North Sea Gin Dutch North Sea Gin is a new creation from the guys at The Stillery. This gin is very fresh and often omits the bitter notes that you normally find in a gin. After the success of their local flower-inspired Most Floral Gin, it was time for a new gin. For this gin they left the country and traveled to the Dutch North Sea in search of special flavors and ingredients. The Dutch North Sea gin from Stillery is therefore completely inspired by ingredients from the Dutch North Sea and coast. Local but slightly different. For example, sawn sea oak, raspberry leaves, blackberry leaves and sea buckthorn are used in the gin. Each and every one of them intriguing ingredients from the Dutch coast, which give the gin a very fresh taste and often omit the bitter notes. This gin has one foot in the surf and the other in the dunes. A place has also been made for the invasive seaweed variety Japanese berry weed. This seaweed has the ability to completely take over ecosystems by growing incredibly fast, up to 10cm per day! Dik & Schil Circulaire Gin What started as a university project for 3 students, has developed into Dik&Schil, a flourishing business with sustainability at its core. Their tasty drinks give a second life to the leftover coffee grounds and orange peels from the hospitality industry that would usually end up in the bin. ‘‘We want to show that sustainability can also be fun and that circularity can lead to fantastic products’’ – They have definitely achieved that. The Dik&Schil Circulaire Gin takes unwanted orange peels from hospitality outlets and the pruned cuttings from Koppert Cress (suppliers of freshly-sprouted seedlings, aromatic edible leaves and flowers) and turns them into a unique, soft and spicy gin. The residue leaves are perfect in combination with the orange, each bringing something different to the mix. Kaffir Lime leaves enhance the recipe with their strong citrus taste, Cardamom leaves add body and a warming taste, whilst the Shiso leaf with its strong, mysterious flavour (reminiscent of mint, basil, tarragon, cilantro, cinnamon and anise) adds character.
