Wildjac Fresh Citrus Vodka Based in the Wyre Forest, to the South West of Birmingham in the UK, Wildjac strive to produce a range of sustainable and eco-friendly premium botanical spirits. To this end, they hand-craft their drinks using only 100% natural ingredients which (where possible) they source locally. With their Fresh Citrus Vodka, Wildjac have created a fresh and zesty vodka which is distilled (unusually) with Worcestershire (a county in the centre of the UK), Endeavour hops and Lemon Thyme. The other ingredients rounding out the botanical compliment are elderflower, orange peel, viola, lemon zest, pink grapefruit, coriander, lime, eucalyptus and bergamot. With a bright aroma full of citrus notes this is a joy to the nose. The citrus flavours continue throughout the drink, with crisp lemon freshness and a hint of warmth from the coriander. Ardbeg Wee Beastie Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl

Ardbeg Wee Beastie Single Malt Scotch Whisky De Ardbeg distilleerderij ligt aan de zuidkant van het Isle of Islay, in de kleine nederzetting Ardbeg waar het zijn naam aan ontleent. Er wordt al sinds 1798 whisky gemaakt, maar de commerciële productie begon pas in 1815. Na in de loop der jaren van eigenaar te zijn veranderd, is het nu eigendom van de LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy) groep. De distilleerderij staat bekend om de productie van een zwaar gepekelde Islay whisky. De distilleerderij zelf zegt: "Ardbeg Ten Years Old wordt wereldwijd geroemd als de meest peatie, rokerige, complexe single malt van allemaal". Ze gebruiken gemoute gerst die afkomstig is van de mouterijen in Port Ellen (ook op het eiland Islay). Interessant weetje: De merknaam Ardbeg is een verengelsing van 'An Àird Bheag', wat Schots-Gaelisch is en 'De Kleine Promontoren' betekent. Ardbeg's Wee Beastie is de nieuwste permanente toevoeging aan hun assortiment, die ze de rauwste, rokerigste Ardbeg ooit hebben genoemd. Deze is slechts vijf jaar gerijpt, maar is absoluut een pittige drank met een krachtige smaak.  Het aroma brengt aanvankelijk heldere, frisse kruidentonen, met op de achtergrond hints van vanille en peer. Rijke, sterke koffie, sappige dennenhars en een vleugje honinggeglazuurde ham op de achtergrond. Voeg een vleugje water toe en de aroma's openen zich verder en brengen meer kruidige tonen, samen met rook en zwarte peper. In de mond is er een rijke smaakexplosie. Chocolade, creosoot en teer komen allemaal voorbij. Halverwege het gehemelte komen verse eucalyptus en anijs naar voren, terwijl de rauwe rokerige intensiteit toeneemt die gerookt spek en hartig vlees naar voren brengt. De afdronk is lang en laat de mond achter met een zoute toets en hints van cacao en fudge. Damrak Gin 70cl

Damrak Gin Situated in the heart of Amsterdam (right behind Dam square), the Lucas Bols distillery is proud to create Damrak.... the Amsterdammer among the London boys of Gin. Using 17 different ingredients, Damrak Gin stands by the fact its gin has a "DAM good taste". Some of these are known (and easily detected in tasting), whilst others remain the Master Distiller's secret. Th orange stopper gives something of a hint to the main flavour profile of this gin! The main distillate coming from the best quality Curacao orange peels. It works exceptionally well to highlight the citrus profile of this gin. But it doesn't stop there.... Valencian oranges give it a sweet and distinctive aroma, while lemons provide a welcoming freshness. Whilst the juniper flavours are present in Damrak (as in all gins), they utilise slightly less in the creation of this gin. In addition, they add cinnamon, lavender, coriander and star anise. The remainder are the secret ingredients. Apparently, a "DAM unique flavour". The aroma of this gin is definitively orange. Whilst in the glass the citrus notes build as well, especially when mixed with tonic. Fresh notes of menthol, eucalyptus and lemon also come foward. On the palate this is fruit forward, with a large hit of citrus - slightly sharp with a delicate spice. Whilst juniper hides in the aroma, it makes itself known in the taste, but definitely not in an overpowering manner. Light herbal notes, and a little vanilla also come out.
