Albuca spirialis Frizzle Sizzle

This is one of few Succulent bulbs. This plant will grow new leaves at the very start of spring to about 20 - 30cm tall. It is the cold that helps these leaves spiral in a very unique attractive way. The bulbs will clump in time and produce tall yellow /green flowers. The plant will go into a dormancy after flowering. Keep frost free and feed to ensure the bulbs are getting all they need to reproduce and flower. This court Jester is a sister plant to Aeonium 'Coronation' and Aeonium 'Jubilee ' also from a batch of seed sown 5 years ago, just going to show the diversity that can come from the same parents! This plant is so colourful featuring both shades of pink and green as the seasons change. It is strong upright growing succulent and has reached over 45 cm in 3 years. The plant wants to grow in a single head rarely offsetting but will branch freely if you chop its head off! Aeonium 'Jubilee' which was a finalist at the Cheslsea Flower Show Plant Of The Year competition 2022. We have found this Aeonium to be no more difficult to look after than the rest, and potting on and feeding during the growing season ensures it reaches its maximum potential.We have kept it frost free over winter at +2 degrees and let it enjoy all the lovely sunshine in the summer months to capture all the wonderful colours. Aeonium 'Coronation' - New for 2023 - A head fit for a crown

New for 2023 - Aeonium 'Coronation'.  This is a tall growing statuesque Aeonium with large heads of a coppery dark purple colour.  The plant has leaves within the head that turn upright and appear to give it an appearance of wearing a crown.  This plant will grow tall and has achieved over 50cm in 3 years at out  nursery in Surrey where it was created.  Its parentage is Aeonium 'Plum Purdy' and 'Bronze Teacup'  explaining where its height comes from and its coppery tones.  This was from a batch of seedlings we harvested from a sowing about 5 years ago which also yielded  sister plant Aeonium 'Jubilee' which was a finalist at the Cheslsea Flower Show Plant Of The Year competition 2022.
