Celestian Tales: Old North is an RPG game modeled on old Japanese productions of this genre. This is the debut title of the Indonesian studio Ekuator Games. The action is set in a fantasy universe in which the events are driven only by the decisions of ordinary mortals. We start our adventure as a young squire and his five friends who first accompany the legendary heroes, and then, when the mentors are overwhelmed by the weight of the years, replace heroes on the battlefield. The campaign takes up heavy and adult themes and is devoid of a simple division into good and evil. Production is a typical representative of its genre. While playing, we explore the world, fulfill missions, develop heroes and fight hordes of enemies. Celestian Tales: Old North was inspired by old Japanese RPGs, especially the console Suikoden series, but at the same time the authors did not blindly copy classic solutions and modernized the formula of this type of production. The game allows you to lead a team of six heroes. Each of them has its own story plots that integrate seamlessly into the main story. The combat system is played in turns, and each encounter has a significant impact on the course of the story. For example, by avoiding skirmishes with the native inhabitants of the forests, we will increase our reputation as a friend of nature and facilitate subsequent negotiations with elven leaders.
