Apollo AlarmSense Open Area Sounder 55000-018APO

Apollo AlarmSense Open Area Sounder 55000-018APO

Apollo AlarmSense Open Area Sounder 55000-018APOThe AlarmSense open area sounder has an IP65 rating meaning that it is suitable for outdoor use. In the event of unauthorised sounder head removal the unit generates a fault warning but all other devices on the same zone will continue to operate.Brand InformationAlarmSense is a range of conventional fire detection and alarm products designed to be connected to the same pair of supply wires making installation quicker and less expensive.AlarmSense has been developed to make the design and installation of a fire detection and alarm system easier and more economic for small to medium-sized buildings. The range also allows an existing system to be extended or modified if necessary. This flexibility makes AlarmSense an excellent choice for use in HMOs House in Multiple Occupation. As you would expect from Apollo AlarmSense incorporates features that help reduce false alarms and patented technology to ensure the integrity of a system. The range also includes products such as beacons to help meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act DDA.Brand FeaturesAlarmSense sounders and manual call points are fitted to the same zone as detectors. In quiescent state the zone is powered at between 9V and 15V nominally 12V at which only detectors and call points operate. Sounders require 24V to operate. When an alarm is detected on a zone the control panel increases the line voltage to 24V on that zone causing the sounders to produce a continuous Evacuate sound. Any voltage-sensitive output devices - relay modules or other alarm devices - also operate. When the voltage is increased to 24V the detector alarm current will reduce to 1.5mA. The detectors are latched in alarm until they are reset by reducing the voltage to less than 2V for greater than 1 second. Output devices will de-activate each time the voltage is reduced to 12V unless otherwise stated in their specification. It is possible to generate an Alert tone by pulsing the supply voltage from 12V to 24V and the sounders configured to continuous output. Pulse frequency of 1 second on 1 second off is recommended for compliance with BS5839 Pt1.Key Features Sound output of up to 99dBLPCB approvedSeparate first-fix base for ease of installationIP65 rated outdoor useDesigned for use as part of an AlarmSense fire alarm panel systemWall mountedTone synchronisationMonitors the presence of the sounder head

Apollo XP95 DIN-Rail Sounder Controller 5 Amperes 55000-182APO

Apollo XP95 DIN-Rail Sounder Controller 5 Amperes 55000-182APO

Please note This product currently has an extended leadtime due to a component shortage. Please contact us for further information.Apollo XP95 DIN-Rail Sounder Controller 5 Amperes 55000-182APOThe DIN-Rail Sounder Controller 5 Amperes is used to control the operation of a zone of externally powered sounders and report their status to the control panel.Electrical DescriptionThe DIN-rail Sounder Controller is loop powered and operates at 1728V DC. It requires a local power supply of 1235V DC to power the external load which may be up to 5A. A polarising diode is required with each alarm device as sounders are operated by voltage reversal provided by a double-pole change-over relay. The sounder circuit is protected by a fuse rated at 5A quick acting.OperationThe Sounder Controller allows sounders to be operated continuously or be pulsed 1 second on 1 second off. Sounders may be operated individually or in groups and whichever address mode has been applied may be synchronised when in pulsed operation. An opto-coupled input is provided to monitor the state of the external power supply. In normal operation the Sounder Controller returns a pre-set analogue value of 16 but in the event of an open or short-circuit fault or of a fault in the external power supply the unit returns a pre-set analogue value of 4.Key FeaturesAllows sounders to be operated continuously or be pulsed 1 second on 1 second offMay be synchronised with loop soundersAn opto-coupled input is provided to monitor the state of the external power supplyFeatures group addressingWill accept a load of up to 5A

Apollo SA5501-300APO Open-Area Sounder White Body

Apollo SA5501-300APO Open-Area Sounder White Body

Apollo SA5501-300APO Open-Area Sounder White BodyThe Intelligent Open-Area Sounder is designed for use inopen-areas and can be connected to anyCoreProtocol Discovery or XP95 system. The Intelligent Open-Area Sounder includes features such as groupand individual control status reporting and selectable tone and volume settings all configuredthrough the fire control panel. The right tone for the installationThe Intelligent Open-Area Sounder offers a choice of 15 evacuationtones including the standard Apollo evacuation tone. A tone is selected during commissioning inorder to suit local regulations or customs.Whichever evacuation tone is selected there is a secondary tonewhich may be used for alerting or warning of a possible evacuation. The right level of soundThe sounder is set during commissioning to one of sevenlevels of sound the highest level being nominally 101 dbA at 1m. At lessthan 60 dbA the lowest level falls outside the scope of the EN54 standard. Ithas been included to provide a very local warning for the use of personnel in particularenvironments such as nurse stations in hospitals.AddressingThe Open-Area Alarm Devices respond to their own individual address which is set via the appropriate XPERTaddress card. Group address and tones on CoreProtocol systems are set using the fire control panel.Location-specific volume settingDetectors and sounder indicators are installed in manydifferent types of environment. When configuring the Intelligent Open-Area Sounder devicesthe adjustment of the volume can be done at the point of installation. The commissioning engineer simply sets the control panel to Set-upand then walks from one device to the next to set the required volume using amagnetic wand. When all devices have been set the engineer simply presses abutton on the control panel which then registers all the individual volumesettings.Key FeaturesAdjustable tone and volume 15 tone pairs seven volume levelsSoftware defined group addressing with up to 16 group addressesAlarm switching by individual device by group address or ofall individual devices on the loopBuilt-in controllable isolatorSet-up and testing of devices at point of installationUnique acoustic self-test
