The Wireless Alerta Detect is a motion sensor that uses infrared technology and will activate an alarm once movement is detected within the beam's range. Most effective when positioned at a bedside or doorway the alarm will activate once a patient leaves their safe zone and breaks the infrared beam. This wireless detector helps to provide individuals with the freedom to safely use their own space, whilst assuring caregivers with advanced warning if someone does leave the safe area. This motion sensor can be battery or mains powered for flexible placement and has a low battery alert if it gets too low. Highly versatile, tt can be connected to a nurse call system through the Alerta Wall Point Receiver, or used on its own for localised alerts with the Alerta Wall Point Receiver only. N.B. This Alerta MoveAssist is a high-quality transfer aid that has been designed for users that have the ability to stand up from a seated position. The narrow width of the Alerta MoveAssist ensures that a carer can easily manoeuvre through most standard doorways. As standard the Alerta MoveAssist comes with 4 durable castors to maximise manoeuvrability and allows users to be transferred with utmost ease, the two rear wheels are fitted with brakes for optimum security and stability during transfers. The padded split seats swing out allowing the user to stand up and board the unit. The care provider then flips the split seats back into place to form a secure and comfortable seat for the user to sit on for the remainder of the transfer. For additional stability, the legs on the Alerta MoveAssist can be easily spread by means of a simple push down pedal. When transferring from room to room the Alerta MoveAssist allows the user to actively participate in the transfer, therefore, helping to improve muscle tone by having their legs supported by the knee brace and they can hold on to the horizontal bar in front of them, this also provides the carer with a safe solution when transferring.
