This paper analyzes the failure of the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) program in eastern Democratic Rlic of Congo. Does this program, which aims to socially reintegrate former child soldiers, specifically take them into account? The fact remains that, although child soldiers are taken into account by the DDR program, this consideration remains incomplete, due to a lack of integration of the factors that form the cornerstone of its success.
