Free of silicone, paraffin, and petroleum products MAVI STEP Express Color is a professional water-based dye for genuine and synthetic leather and canvas (bag and backpack fabric). It has a high pigment concentration, penetrates deeply into the structure of the material, dyes/re-dyes and restores the colour. The dye hides scuffs and scratches and renews the leather surface. It is resistant, quick-drying, does not peel off, does not flake or crack, and has water-repellent properties. Application materials: genuine and synthetic leather; canvas (bag and backpack fabric). Attention! Do not use MAVI STEP Express Color Smooth Leather Dye for dyeing suede, nubuck, velour, or patent leather. Safe for even the thinnest and most delicate leathers. Gives long-lasting results. How to Use MAVI STEP Express Color Smooth Leather Dye Spotless dust and surface dirt with the MAVI STEP Reagan or MAVI STEP Alexandra brush. Mat the surface with a Scotch-Brite and clean with MAVI STEP Total Cleaner before dyeing genuine or synthetic leather. Drop a drop of water on the item and watch how quickly it absorbs. If it soaks in instantly, the item is ready for dyeing, and you can proceed to the next step. If the water remains on the surface or absorbs very slowly, repeat the cleaning process. Shake the dye vigorously, then dab a few drops onto the applicator (sponge) and spread it in a circular motion, using light pressure, on the surface of the item. Periodically add the dye to the sponge and apply a minimum of a thin layer. Once the first coat has dried (approx. 2 hours), apply a second coat (to even out the colour). If necessary, apply a third coat and wait until the item is completely dry (approx. 24 hours). To fix the dye and create a semi-glossy finish, treat the dyed and fully dried item with MAVI STEP Universal Dye Fixative. Note No. 1. Do not apply more than three coats of dye. Note No. 2. If the dyeing process is not followed properly, the coating may peel and crack. Note No. 3. The resulting coating is not designed to withstand aggressive climatic conditions. Use MAVI STEP Creme de Beaute to protect it. Note No. 4. If the coating is damaged, use the remaining MAVI STEP Express Color Smooth Leather Dye to repair it. Attention!
