Bogen er skrevet af den rejseerfarne journalist Jens Jessen, der har en lang række bogudgivelser bag sig, og den udgives af Danmarks Nimbus Touring, der har 1.500 Nimbus-motorcykelinteresserede medlemmer over hele verden. Bogen udgives i anledning af 100 året for den første Nimbus- motorcykel og 10-året for turen.
