ISO 26000 - Lars T. Moratis - Bog - Taylor & Francis Ltd - Plusbog.dk

ISO 26000 - Lars T. Moratis - Bog - Taylor & Francis Ltd - Plusbog.dk

Over the last ten years, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has grown from being criticised as a management fad to being endorsed as good business practice by the majority of the world''s leading companies. It has also become ever more complex; and the majority of companies are now in need of clarity and guidance to actively engage with CSR in practice, to develop strategies that reflect the unique context in which each company operates and to embed CSR within their values. ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, began developing an International Standard providing guidelines for social responsibility (SR) in 2005. This long-awaited guidance standard was finally published in November, 2010 as ISO 26000. Developed by stakeholders from industry, government, labour, consumers, non-governmental organizations and others, ISO 26000 will almost certainly become the single most authoritative worldwide standard for SR. In only a few years'' time, many thousands of organizations around the world are likely to be using ISO 26000 as a foundation for their SR policies. ISO 26000 is voluntary, and includes no specific requirements; therefore it is not a certification standard. Nonetheless, business users in particular are anxious to measure against the new ISO guideline their current efforts at implementing SR issues within their overall business strategy. Furthermore, many organizations have indicated that they may reformulate current strategies or develop new initiatives based on the content of ISO 26000. This book, written by international experts who have closely followed the development of ISO 26000, is the first to provide potential users with a comprehensive roadmap to the new standard and a compass to identify where they stand in relation to it now. ISO 26000 defines all of the key terminology of SR, provides advice about the ways in which organizations can identify their social responsibilities and how SR can be integrated not only into companies, but into all types of organizations. It is not another code or norm, but an overarching blueprint for social responsibility. This book covers all the key content of ISO 26000, examining the development of the standard, the topics covered and how key themes such as stakeholders are dealt with. It is rich in tools and benchmarking exercises, illustrative material, case examples, and help for companies looking to base their CSR policy on ISO 26000. It also contains an overview of the actions and expectations of organizations that wish to work in accordance with ISO 26000. Timely, detailed and practical, ISO 26000: The Business Guide to the New Standard on Social Responsibility will be an essential resource for the thousands of organizations that need an expert view on how the new standard works, where they stand in relation to it, and how they can work towards developing their CSR efforts in line with its content.

Process Improvement with CMMI v1.2 and ISO Standards - Boris Mutafelija - Bog - Taylor & Francis Ltd - Plusbog.dk

In this age of globalization, process improvement practitioners must be able to comprehend and work with the different standards and frameworks used around the world. While many systems and software engineering organizations rely on a single standard as the primary driver of process improvement efforts (CMMI®-based process improvement in the U.S. and ISO 9001 around the world), the most successful incorporate multiple frameworks. Process Improvement with CMMI® v1.2 and ISO Standards helps users become more versatile in using multiple process standards when creating organizational and project processes. Compares and Contrasts Different Standards The book begins by discussing the motivations for process improvement, the factors that make improvement difficult, and the conditions and activities that enable improvement. It examines the structure and content of Capability Maturity Model Integration SM , version 1.2, provides summaries of several ISO standards, and discusses the detailed relationships between four specific ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 15288, ISO 12207, and ISO 20000) and CMMI. The book concludes by addressing the synergy and use of multiple frameworks, discussing the process of conducting appraisals against multiple frameworks, and examining the collection of objective evidence required by each standard and appraisal method. The authors also discuss similarities and differences among the appraisal and certification approaches. Free Downloads This volume is highly supplemented with numerous appendices to clarify material and a website is provided where readers can download detailed maps and corresponding correlation matrices. This bonus material allows users to further experiment with the framework relationships and be more equipped to deal with the myriad of standards and frameworks they may encounter.

The ISO 9000 Workbook - Greg Hutchins - Bog - John Wiley & Sons Inc - Plusbog.dk

ISO 45001 Implementation - Mehrdad Soltanifar - Bog - Taylor & Francis Ltd - Plusbog.dk

ISO 45001 Implementation - Mehrdad Soltanifar - Bog - Taylor & Francis Ltd - Plusbog.dk

Over two million people worldwide die every year due to work-related accidents and illness, which corresponds to over 6000 deaths every day (International Labour Organisation, 2020). Globally, there are about 340 million occupational accidents and 160 million victims of work-related injuries and illness each year (International Labour Organisation, 2020). Occupational health and safety is a major challenge for many organizations. Regardless of the size and nature of their business, organizations should protect their people and provide a safe and healthy working environment. They should identify the potential health and safety risks present in their workplace and take appropriate action to keep their workers free from harm. Occupational safety focuses on potential safety hazards that can cause injury. Occupational health, on the other hand, looks at potential health issues such as occupational medicine, occupational hygiene, and primary health care, including the wellbeing of workers. For organizations that want to implement an occupational health and safety management system based on the ISO 45001:2018 standard but are not familiar with its structure and definitions, it often takes a significant amount of resources to understand the requirements of the standard and plan their implementation. This book provides guidance in establishing an occupational health and safety management system linked to the requirements of ISO 45001:2018. It aims to explain all the requirements of ISO 45001:2018 clause by clause to provide guidance to: • Organizations preparing for ISO 45001:2018 implementation • Individuals who want to build a career in occupational health and safety • Health and safety practitioners and managers who want to improve their occupational health and safety performance • Occupational health and safety consultants who prepare their clients for ISO 45001:2018 certification audits • Internal and external auditors who audit occupational health and safety management systems. In addition to the requirements of the standard, this book includes industry best practices, methods, and techniques to address these requirements. While clarifying each requirement of the standard, it also discusses the steps needed to achieve the requirement, areas that auditors may check, and mandatory or voluntary documents that may be maintained or retained to demonstrate conformity with the requirement.

AI Management System Certification According to the ISO/IEC 42001 Standard - Sid Benraouane - Bog - Taylor & Francis Ltd - Plusbog.dk

AI Management System Certification According to the ISO/IEC 42001 Standard - Sid Benraouane - Bog - Taylor & Francis Ltd - Plusbog.dk

The book guides the reader through the auditing and compliance process of the newly released ISO Artificial Intelligence standard. It provides tools and best practices on how to put together an AI management system that is certifiable and sheds light on ethical and legal challenges business leaders struggle with to make their AI system comply with existing laws and regulations, and the ethical framework of the organization. The book is unique because it provides implementation guidance on the new certification and conformity assessment process required by the new ISO Standard on Artificial Intelligence (ISO 42001:2023 Artificial Intelligence Management System) published by ISO in August 2023. This is the first book that addresses this issue. As a member of the US/ISO team who participated in the drafting of this standard during the last 3 years, the author has direct knowledge and insights that are critical to the implementation of the standard. He explains the context of how to interpret ISO clauses, gives examples and guidelines, and provides best practices that help compliance managers and senior leadership understand how to put together the AI compliance system to certify their AI system. The reader will find in the book a complete guide to the certification process of AI systems and the conformity assessment required by the standard. It also provides guidance on how to read the new EU AI Act and some of the U.S. legislations, such as NYC Local Law 144, enacted in July 2023. This is the first book that helps the reader create an internal auditing program that enhances the company’s AI compliance framework. Generative AI has taken the world by storm, and currently, there is no international standard that provides guidance on how to put together a management system that helps business leaders address issues of AI governance, AI structure, AI risk, AI audit, and AI impact analysis. ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is the first international mandatory and certifiable standard that provides a comprehensive and well-integrated framework for the issue of AI governance. This book provides a step-by-step process on how to implement the standard so the AI system can pass the ISO accreditation process.

Using the ISO 56002 Innovation Management System - H. James Harrington - Bog - Taylor & Francis Ltd - Plusbog.dk

Using the ISO 56002 Innovation Management System - H. James Harrington - Bog - Taylor & Francis Ltd - Plusbog.dk

In 2019, ISO Technical Committee 279 released a new international standard on innovation management system called ISO 56002:2019. The objective of this standard is to provide a framework on how to build an innovation ecosystem that can be sustained over time. Similar to the quality management system that ISO established decades ago, this standard provides instructions related to best practices on how to manage innovation activities, projects, and programs. It does not describe detailed activities within the organization, but rather provides guidance at a general level. It does not prescribe any requirements or specific tools or methods for innovation activities. Essentially, the standard does not provide guidance on how to implement and/or use the standard. The standard basically tells you what to do and document – this powerful book tells you how to do it. The techniques in this book are directed at key tasks across the innovative process, such as maximizing quality, productivity, maintainability, usability, and reliability, while focusing on reducing the product cycle time and costs within the innovative process. Currently, there are no other comprehensive books available on how to fully implement this standard in companies. This book is crucial for managers, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and consultants looking for help to reap the benefits of an innovation management system. This book takes you step by step through the process of developing an innovation ecosystem. In addition, it provides frameworks, tools, methodologies, cases, and best practices so your organization can experience the full value of the standard.

Developing an ISO 13485-Certified Quality Management System - Ilkka Juuso - Bog - Taylor & Francis Ltd - Plusbog.dk

Developing an ISO 13485-Certified Quality Management System: An Implementation Guide for the Medical-Device Industry details the lessons learned from a real-world project focusing on building an ISO 13485:2016 Quality Management System (QMS) from scratch and then having it officially certified. It is a practical guide to building or improving your existing QMS with tried and tested solutions. The book takes a hands-on approach–first teaching the top 25 lessons to know before starting to develop a QMS and then walking you through the process of writing the quality manual and the standard operating procedures, training the staff on the QMS, organizing an internal audit, executing a management review, and finally passing the necessary external audits and obtaining certification. It helps you to progress from one task to the next and provides all the essential information to accomplish each task as quickly and efficiently as possible. It does not attempt to replicate the standard but instead drills into the standard to expose the core of each section of the standard and reorganize its contents into a practical workflow for developing, maintaining, and improving a Lean QMS. The book includes a wealth of real-world experience both from the author''s personal dive into quality management, and from the experiences of other companies in the field and provides handy checklists for ensuring key documents and processes are fit for use–the emphasis here is to help ensure you have considered all relevant aspects. In addition, the book is not intended as a “cheat sheet” for the standard or as a review of the standard that only adds lengthy commentary on each of the clauses. Instead, the book fixes easy misunderstandings regarding QMS, provides insight into why the various clauses are written the way they are, and provides a great base to both understanding ISO 13485 QMS and developing your own QMS. The book is intended to serve both experts and novices audiences–it provides special insight on the most crucial and effective aspects of QMS.
