Where the Bruised Pieces Go - Jane Fawley - Bog - Troubador Publishing - Plusbog.dk

London is being haunted by a serial killer who is beginning to evolve. Victims are left at iconic city landmarks and in the garden squares of the east end. They are carefully displayed with a pear in one hand and their heart in the other. The streets of London are not paved with gold but covered in blood. Sam Stirling is the psychologist building the criminal profile to help DCI Albert ‘Smiley’ Riley and his team apprehend him. If Sam is to succeed, he will need assistance from psychotherapist Emma Malone. But the killer has developed an unhealthy obsession with Sam and Emma catches his eye… After another victim is discovered with one more disturbing clue, the case finally starts to make sense. But as Sam closes in, the killer reverses the roles. Who is the profiler now? This is a book about the damage damaged people can cause, both to those they choose as their victims, and those whose task it is to bring them to justice. It is a novel of layers and nuances as well as being a rollercoaster ride. Sam’s and Emma’s stories hurtle along parallel tracks, and the reader knows that at some stage these tracks will meet in an explosive way. And so they do, but there’s also a twist in the tale that will take your breath away. In ‘Where the Bruised Pieces Go’, Jane Fawley has set a benchmark for psychological crime dramas second to none. When the Lights Go on Again - Michael Burt - Bog - Troubador Publishing - Plusbog.dk

When the Lights Go on Again - Michael Burt - Bog - Troubador Publishing - Plusbog.dk

This book tells the story of life during WW2 in and around Cowfold, largely through the memories of eleven children, with ages ranging from under five to teenager. There are no stories here of bloodshed, death and destruction. Instead this is a story of making do with often very little, of life in the village under the restrictions of blackout and rationing, of childish wide-eyed excitement at watching aerial combat and of rushing to the site of a crashed bomber or fighter in the hope of picking up souvenirs. There are stories of fear at hearing the night time throbbing engine of German bombers or bombs and incendiaries exploding in the area, and later of the dreaded Doodlebug. This was the villagers'' front line- the Home Front - where achieving victory in farming the fields or responding to the Dig for victory campaign or just keeping calm and carrying on was no less important to the ultimate victory than the battles fought on land, in the air, and at sea. The children played their part in this Home Front victory accepting the hardships and contributing to the war effort by helping with fund raising or collecting wild fruit for processing, or helping with the harvests. This book is a tribute to all those children and adults of Cowford who endured six years of hardship, shortages, separation from fathers, husbands, sons and brothers and sisters, and fear and yet who persevered and ultimately prevailed.

A detailed self-improvement book presented in four parts with the third and fourth awaiting publication that takes a reader step-by-step how to achieve great success, written by a celebrated authority on personal development. While there are many self-help books that promise the world, there are very few that answer the age-long question of how to achieve great success. Arise from Grass to Greatness: Parts One and Two fill the gap by showcasing the step-by-step principles of how to move from poverty to prosperity in an organized whole. Written by one of the world’s top authorities on personal development, these parts are unique because the greatness blueprint they unveil is applicable to individuals, organizations and nations. The success formula answers all questions and it can be applied to every aspect of life encompassing career, education, family, marriage, business, finances, health, religion and relationship. In fourteen chronological steps, the first five covered by Parts One and Two, the four parts take the reader through practical universal principles that people can use to discover their selves, make the most of their innate endowments, and achieve the greatest possible. Think of Bill Gates and the personal computer (PC); Thomas Edison and incandescent light bulb; the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, and the airplane. Remember the G8 nations and the Fortune Global 500 companies amongst others. The majority of people are unsuccessful today, not because they are unlucky, but because they never discovered this principle – or if they did, they used it rather haphazardly or in bits and pieces. Learn how to harness your success and achieve the unachievable today. The following two parts will be published soon.
