By isolating elements of vaudeville within works that have previously been considered "classical," Knopf reevaluates Keaton''s films and how they function. Exploring Keaton''s influence on Salvador Dalí, Luis Buñuel, Federico García Lorca, and Robert Desnos, Knopf suggests that Keaton''s achievement extends beyond Hollywood into the avant-garde. This scrutiny has made the origins of the Cold War the most controversial issue in American diplomatic history. Fleming; Atomic Diplomacy by Gar Alperovitz; The Free World Colossus by David Horowitz; The Politics of War by Gabriel Kolko; Yalta by Diane Shaver Clemens; and Architects of Illusion by Lloyd C. Gardner.
