Millenneagram - Hannah Paasch - Bog - HarperCollins Publishers Inc - Plusbog.dk

Buckle up, folks. It’s time to jump in, embrace your inner self, and release the things that are holding you back from wholeness. Enter the Millenneagram. The Enneagram is an ancient personality typing system that has a sneaky way of revealing who we are and why we do the things we do. Using nine types, it gets to the root of our fears and motivations, unveiling our inner-most selves. Millenneagram reinvigorates the Enneagram by putting a modern spin on the classic nine types. Hannah Paasch, creator of the popular #millenneagream threads on Twitter, reveals how this system acts as a map toward our authentic selves. For Hannah, the Enneagram is not about changing who we are, but rather nurturing and loving our whole selves, even the pain in the ass qualities. “Only from this position of wholeness, rootedness in who we are, what we believe, and what kind of story we are writing, will we be able to act bravely for the sake of justice and humanity – to approach our f*cked-up world with the grounded courage it asks of us.” With her trademark irreverent humor and empowering affirmations, Millenneagram reframes the classic Enneagram types with a fresh perspective and new names that cut right to the chase: #1 The Machine “I’m an Enneagram 1 and I Can Fix This!” #2 The Parent “I’m an Enneagram 2 and Can I Get You a Refill?” #3 The Winner “I’m an Enneagram 3 and All I Do Is Win.” #4 The Tortured Artist “I’m an Enneagram 4 and I’m Deeper Than You.” #5 The Detective “I’m an Enneagram 5 and I Read an Article About That.” #6 The Oracle “I’m an Enneagram 6 and I’m Loyal as Fuck.” #7 The Party “I’m an Enneagram 7 so This Might Be Vodka In My Mug.” #8 The Dragon “I’m an Enneagram 8 so Nice Try, Bitch.” #9 The Wallflower “I’m an Enneagram 9 so Let’s Just All Chill Out, Dude.” A powerful tool for self-discovery (that doesn’t take itself too seriously), Millenneagram is an invitation for introspection and growth. Hannah’s revamped Enneagram goes beyond simply identifying with a type: it gives us permission to be our truest, enough-as-is, bad-ass selves.

The Day the World Came to Town Updated Edition - Jim Defede - Bog - HarperCollins Publishers Inc - Plusbog.dk

The Day the World Came to Town Updated Edition - Jim Defede - Bog - HarperCollins Publishers Inc - Plusbog.dk

The True Story Behind the Events on 9/11 that Inspired Broadway’s Smash Hit Musical Come from Away, Featuring All New Material from the Author When 38 jetliners bound for the United States were forced to land at Gander International Airport in Canada by the closing of U.S. airspace on September 11, the population of this small town on Newfoundland Island swelled from 10,300 to nearly 17,000. The citizens of Gander met the stranded passengers with an overwhelming display of friendship and goodwill. As the passengers stepped from the airplanes, exhausted, hungry and distraught after being held on board for nearly 24 hours while security checked all of the baggage, they were greeted with a feast prepared by the townspeople. Local bus drivers who had been on strike came off the picket lines to transport the passengers to the various shelters set up in local schools and churches. Linens and toiletries were bought and donated. A middle school provided showers, as well as access to computers, email, and televisions, allowing the passengers to stay in touch with family and follow the news. Over the course of those four days, many of the passengers developed friendships with Gander residents that they expect to last a lifetime. As a show of thanks, scholarship funds for the children of Gander have been formed and donations have been made to provide new computers for the schools. This book recounts the inspiring story of the residents of Gander, Canada, whose acts of kindness have touched the lives of thousands of people and been an example of humanity and goodwill.

Birdie & Harlow - Taylor Wolfe - Bog - HarperCollins Publishers Inc - Plusbog.dk

Birdie & Harlow - Taylor Wolfe - Bog - HarperCollins Publishers Inc - Plusbog.dk

“In this hilarious, uplifting memoir, Wolfe describes her intense bond with Harlow...as she grapples with the chaos of her 20s, marriage, and eventually new motherhood.”— Washington Post “An engaging debut with a lighthearted memoir of her tender relationship with her dog, Harlow, and her rocky path to becoming a mother. . . . A sweet homage to a beloved pet.”— Kirkus Reviews The funny and poignant story of one woman’s wonderfully codependent relationship with her dog – and what he taught her about chosen family and the reward of motherhood. Birdie & Harlow is the story of a baby and a dog. But motherhood is never quite that simple. In Taylor Wolfe’s case, it’s a long, zigzagging and winding road. Meant to be a last-minute anniversary gift for her then boyfriend (and now husband), the highly-energetic and loud-mouthed Vizla puppy named Harlow turns out to be the best snap decision twenty-year-old Taylor ever makes—and the beginning of the most epic friendship she ever has. As Wolfe’s resistance to 9-5’s and traditional adulthood grows, Harlow becomes the perfect companion for her eccentricities in a world that thrives on conformity. Wolfe’s twenties—full of pitfalls and surprises, sad days and silver linings—led her to the realization that life is too short to spend your days in a crate (or a cubicle), that parks are meant to be enjoyed, and most importantly, she wants to be a mom. But really, isn''t she one already? A charming and touching memoir, Birdie & Harlow is a tribute to the many expressions of modern motherhood, to both human and fur babies alike. Taylor’s story reminds all of us that life will surprise you and that families should come in every shape and size.

Three women are brought together in an enthralling story of friendship, heartbreak, and resilience. Set at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, this is an amazing debut novel. Duty. Honor. Country. That’s West Point’s motto, and every cadet who passes through its stone gates vows to live it. With athletic talent and a brilliant mind, she navigates West Point’s predominantly male environment with wit and confidence, breaking stereotypes and embracing new friends. When she meets her soul mate at West Point, the future looks perfect, just as planned. Wild child Avery moves fast and doesn’t mind breaking a few rules ( and hearts ) along the way. The world—of business, of love, and of war—awaits Dani, Hannah, and Avery beyond the gates of West Point. These three women know that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. But soon, that adage no longer rings true—for their future, or their friendship. As they’re pulled in different directions, will their hard-forged bond prevail or shatter? Beyond the Point is a heartfelt look at how our closest friends can become our fiercest battle buddies. After all, the greatest battles we fight rarely require a uniform.

99 Stories I Could Tell - Nathan W. Pyle - Bog - HarperCollins Publishers Inc - Plusbog.dk

99 Stories I Could Tell - Nathan W. Pyle - Bog - HarperCollins Publishers Inc - Plusbog.dk

From the Creator of Strange Planet—Watch the Animated Series August 9 on Apple TV+ From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of NYC Basic Tips and Ettiquette comes 99 Stories I Could Tell, a guided journal with 99 prompts plus a customizable cover. Nathan Pyle takes journalers for a creative ride through the pages of this product--each prompt comes with a mix of black lines (solid boundaries to color) and blue lines (to trace and use as a jumping off point for further imagination. The prompts move from extremely suportive towards the start of the journal (giving the journaler lots of structure so as not to intimidate them) to more free-form , the idea being that the journaler''s skills will increase the more they progress. The prompts themselves are a collection of inventive and humorous trips down memory lane, helping journalers curate and draw their most prized recollections, and also to unearth memories they didn''t know they had (a lie you were told as a child that you believed until recently, or the first fictional death you experienced). With a well-honed sensibility for what shares well online and what people are searching for, each of the 99 stories has been chosen because it prompts emotional resonance and will be content people will be excited to share on their social media. The prompts can also be mixed and matched to create all new narratives, the way musical notes can be lined up differently to make new tunes. Package wise, this journal is a large square, big enough to satisfy doodlers, but light enough to easily fit in a backpack or totebag. The book''s jacket is a silk-screened PVC case which adds to the nostalgic feel (reminiscent of a toy); the jacket is also removeable to reveal an uncoated cover where journalers can embellish the design in their own way, making each and every journal totally customizable.
