Train Simulator: DB Schenker Class 59 2 Loco (DLC) (PC) Steam Key - GLOBAL

Train Simulator: DB Schenker Class 59 2 Loco (DLC) (PC) Steam Key - GLOBAL The first of the heavy freight generation of locomotives and pivotal in bringing the most successful freight locomotive in the UK to life, the BR Class 59 comes to Train Simulator in modern DB Schenker livery. The original four Class 59s were ordered by Foster Yeoman in 1985 as a replacement to the increasingly unreliable Class 56. For the design of the Class 59, Foster Yeoman engaged General Motors Electro-Motive Division, one of the leading builders of locomotives. Derived from the EMD SD40-2 with a Class 58 style cab, the Class 59 was designed to haul heavy loads such as stone or coal across the UK, with a 3,300 horsepower engine.Following Foster Yeoman’s order, further Class 59/1 variants were ordered by Amey Roadstone Construction, and Class 59/2 variants were ordered by National Power, initially as a trial, and then as an ongoing order to haul coal and limestone hoppers.Built between 1994 and 1995, the Class 59/2s had different features compared to earlier variants of the class, including a new advanced slow speed control for accurate merry-go-round power station coal trains, more modern batteries and fire safety systems and also yaw dampers to increase the top speed from the original 60mph (96km/h) to 75mph (120km/h).Ultimately, EMD's diligence and flexibility in designing and constructing such a small order of 15 locomotives opened the way for the later, much larger, Class 66, which were built on the same body shell but internally differentIn April 1998, National Power rail operations were taken over by English, Welsh & Scottish Railway, who proceeded to use Class 59/2s more widely over the network. Class 59/2s are today operated by DB Schenker and maintained by Mendip Rail at Merehead.

Train Sim World 2: BR Class 33 Loco (DLC) (PC) Steam Key - GLOBALBR Class 33 In 1957, an order was placed for a batch of diesel-electric locomotives intended for the Southern Region of British Railways. Originally referred to as the BRCW Type 3s, these locomotives were built as mixed-traffic Bo-Bo locomotives. They were equipped with 1550 horsepower Sulzer engines, capable of reaching a top speed of 85 mph. Due to their utilization of Crompton Parkinson electrical equipment, they earned the nickname "Cromptons." The iconic BR Class 33, a true classic, now joins Train Sim World® 2 for heritage diesel operation. The first BRCW Type 3 locomotives were manufactured in 1959 and entered service in December of that year. The initial batch comprised 65 locomotives, which were delivered until 1961. A second batch was completed by 1962, bringing the total to 98 locomotives across three primary variants. Upon entering regular service, the Type 3 locomotives quickly became a mainstay on the Southern Region, particularly in the South Eastern Division. They operated on various passenger and freight services, including routes to Dover, steel trains between Sheerness and Willesden, cement transportation, and engineering trains. Some locomotives were also fitted with SR multiple unit equipment to operate push-pull trains from London Waterloo to Salisbury and Weymouth, serving the South West. The widespread success of the Class 33 locomotives in transforming key services throughout the Southern Region garnered them a dedicated following. As a result, 29 locomotives have survived into preservation, with some being certified for mainline operation. Notably, two preserved locomotives, D6566 (33048) and D6575 (33057) "Seagull," have found a home on the West Somerset Railway, where they continue to operate and showcase the classic BR Green livery. Train Simulator: Grand Central Class 180 'Adelante' DMU (DLC) (PC) Steam Key - GLOBAL

Train Simulator: Grand Central Class 180 'Adelante' DMU (DLC) (PC) Steam Key - GLOBALThe iconic Class 180 ‘Adelante’ speeds into Train Simulator in distinctive Grand Central Trains livery. The five-car sets were built by Alstom at their Washwood Heath plant between 2000 and 2001 for First Great Western, who wanted to increase the frequency of their express services between London Paddington and South Wales, and became part of the Coradia 1000 family, alongside the popular Class 175. Nicknamed ‘Adelante’ by First Group, the Class has had a chequered career, being late into service in the early 2000s and returns to their leasing company, Angel Trains, ahead of schedule in 2009. Subsequently, they were assigned to other train operators and in 2012, five sets were refurbished by First Great Western. In total, only 14 sets were built and despite their reliability problems, are still in operation today for Grand Central Trains, First Great Western and First Hull Trains. They are capable of reaching 125 mph (201 km/h) thanks to a Cummins QSK19 diesel engine, identical to the engine fitted to the Class 220 ‘Voyager’. The ‘Adelante’ is also unique in being the only diesel-powered high speed train in the World that has a diesel-hydraulic transmission. The Class 180 ‘Adelante’ for Train Simulator is available in Grand Central Trains’ black livery and includes features usually seen on high speed trains, including signal bell, open/close coupling hatch, DRA, instrument lights, glare panel, headlight control, vehicle overspeed, brake gauge, DSD reset pedal and working TMS system. About the base game: Welcome to the ultimate railway hobby! Master complex operations on the DB BR 411 ICE T, BR Class 390 Pendolino, Union Pacific AC4400CW, and more as you explore authentic routes. Whatever you love about trains, Train Simulator Classic lets you take your hobby to the next level.

Known at the time as the BRCW Type 3s, they were built as Bo-Bo, mixed-traffic locomotives, fitted with 1550 horsepower Sulzer engines that could propel them to a top speed of 85 mph. They housed Crompton Parkinson electrical equipment, forever giving them the nickname “Cromptons”. Two of the preserved locomotives; D6566 (33048) and D6575 (33057) “Seagull” have found a home on the West Somerset Railway, both operational and sporting the classic BR Green livery.

Train Sim World 2: BR Class 52 'Western' Loco (DLC) (PC) Steam Key - GLOBAL

Train Sim World 2: BR Class 52 'Western' Loco (DLC) (PC) Steam Key - GLOBALBR Class 52 trains Designed specifically for high-speed express trains, the BR Class 52 locomotive, also known as the "Western," played a vital role in British Railways' Western Region. In the 1955 modernisation plan, British Railways aimed to replace steam locomotives with modern diesel engines. While most regions opted for diesel-electric technology, the Western Region decided to explore hydraulic transmission as an alternative. During the early 1960s, the iconic "Western" locomotive was introduced, incorporating German diesel hydraulic technology. This distinctive locomotive featured dual engines, resulting in significantly increased tractive effort compared to previous designs. Its unique appearance and powerful performance made it a standout among other locomotives of its time. Today, the BR Class 52 locomotives have retired from their active service but continue to be cherished on heritage railways, where they can be appreciated by enthusiasts and passengers alike. Detailed model The BR Class 52 locomotives, known for their impressive speed capabilities, were capable of reaching speeds of up to 90 mph. Unofficial reports even suggest that they achieved speeds as high as 110 mph. These locomotives set the standard for express operations on the Great Western Railway (GWR) during the 1960s and 1970s, demonstrating the effectiveness of diesel-hydraulic traction. However, their reign as the primary locomotives for GWR express services came to an end in 1977 when they were replaced by the new BR Class 50 locomotives and British Rail's flagship High-Speed Train sets. The introduction of these newer models marked a shift in the industry. Out of the original fleet of 74 locomotives, only seven have survived and are now preserved. Although these remaining locomotives exist in various conditions, some of them are operational and have found a home on the West Somerset Railway. They continue to captivate enthusiasts and visitors, offering a glimpse into the history of railway transportation. Features: Enjoy accurate and true-to-life performance and handling of the BR Class 52 'Western' locomotive.Experience the authentic driving characteristics and interactive controls, including individual engine controls, for a realistic train operating experience.Engage in three engaging scenarios that offer unique challenges and experiences on the West Somerset Railway.Take advantage of the interactive tutorial that will guide you through the operation of the BR Class 52 'Western' locomotive on the West Somerset Railway.Take control of the BR Class 52 'Western' in Service Mode on the West Somerset Railway, where you'll have more than 15 services to operate and manage. The download size for this addition is 69.6mb, making it a compact and efficient addition to your train simulator.

Train Sim World: BR Class 52 'Western' Loco (DLC) (PC) Steam Key - GLOBAL

Train Sim World: BR Class 52 'Western' Loco (DLC) (PC) Steam Key - GLOBAL Built to work top-link expresses, the BR Class 52 spent its days racing through BR’s Western Region and now enjoys retirement on heritage railways. 1955, the modernisation plan of British Railways was published. The plan called for all regions to gradually phase out steam locomotives in favour of modern diesel motive power. Most of the network opted for diesel-electric technology, the Western Region however took a different approach, and started chasing the idea of using hydraulic transmission. A handful of designs would be produced in the following years for various duties, but none would be as striking as the “Western” which first rolled off the production line in the early 1960s. Derived from German diesel hydraulic technology, the “Western” was fitted with two engines, that when combined resulted in a much higher tractive effort than the previously built efforts. The Class 52 was capable of achieving 90 mph, and unofficial records claim they reached speeds of 110 mph, nevertheless, they defined the standard for GWR express operation throughout the 1960s and 1970s, proving diesel-hydraulic traction could be used effectively. However, this reign only lasted until 1977 when they were displaced by the new BR Class 50 and British Rail’s flagship High Speed Train sets. From a total pool of 74 locomotives, only 7 would survive into preservation and, even though this remaining few exist in various conditions, some are operational and call the West Somerset Railway their home.
