Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand is the official expansion pack for the popular EA DICE shooter, featuring new maps, vehicles, weapons, and more. The pack is primarily aimed at veterans of the Battlefield series, but should also appeal to new players as it features a completely reworked battlefield. In Back to Karkand we return to the maps known from Battlefield 2, which have gone down in the history of the genre.   The creators recreated such popular and classic arenas as Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman, Wake Island and Sharqi Peninsula. The arsenal available to players has also been expanded - a total of ten new rifles and three previously unavailable vehicles (STOVL fighter, desert buggy and armored personnel carrier). All the above attractions, known to fans of the previous installment of the series, have been reworked in newer technology (Frostbite 2).   This means that maps, weapons and vehicles have changed beyond recognition - the engine driving Battlefield 3 allows, among other things, to sow destruction on a larger scale than in Battlefield 2.
