This time its protagonist is Squall Leonhart - a cadet of the military academy, involved in the hostilities with the neighboring state of Galbadia. Story The main character of Final Fantasy VIII is a certain Squall Leonheart - a cadet from one of the three famous military academies, known as the Balamb Garden. The last task of the hero, before being accepted into the elite SeeD special services, is to check reports of military aggression by the troops of the neighboring land of Galbadia. Soon, a great war begins, and Squall and his newly met comrades are entangled in a complex plot involving the president of Galbadia himself and the mysterious sorceress, Edea Kramer, who turns out to be the main cause of the confusion.  After the groundbreaking seventh part, the "eight" also brought a number of innovative solutions to the series, which - as it turned out later - clearly divided the existing Final Fantasy fans. Although the core of the gameplay has remained unchanged, and the fun continues to focus on exploration and the quasi-turn combat system, its model and the way of developing heroes have completely changed.  Compared to the two previous installments of the series, containing a lot of steampunk elements, Final Fantasy VIII goes even further, at some points approaching the classic science fiction (e.g. travel and space stations). For the first time in the history of the series, the love theme comes to the fore, which is one of the main driving forces of the plot and the cause of the main character's metamorphosis.  One of the most noticeable changes in Final Fantasy VIII is the visuals, which are a departure from the "super deformed" style characteristic of the previous installments of the series, in which the characters' heads are disproportionately large in relation to the rest of the body. Both the game world and characters are presented in a more realistic way, although still in a typical manga convention. The graphics of the game, character animations and cutscenes look much better than in the case of the predecessor. One morning the kid's mother drops him off at the door of a scientist who is completely unprepared for this visit. Fitz is in the middle of a new experiment that unfortunately ends in a disaster. The professor is thrown into a mysterious mini-dimension, and what's worse - the last few hours are slipping from his memory. The obligation to save him obviously falls on the boy's shoulders.  Quantum Conundrum is a puzzle game, so we spend most of our time solving puzzles. We use IDS for this, i.e. a special device that enables manipulation of dimensions. There are a total of five of them in Quantum Conundrum. In addition to the Standard, Puchaty is available, in which all objects are ten times lighter. This enables heavy objects to be handled by hand as well as the clever use of wind power. In Heavy Dimension, on the other hand, the opposite is true - the weight of objects increases tenfold, but at the same time they become harder, thanks to which they are not damaged in contact with, for example, lasers. On the other hand, in Free Time, it flows at an exceptionally lazy pace. The last dimension allows you to reverse gravity. The enabled dimensions affect most elements of the game world, although they do not apply to the character we control.  During the game, in addition to logical thinking skills, the player must sometimes show reflexes during platforming sequences. Challenges of this type never reach the level of difficulty known from skill games. Instead, they are just an interesting diversion and give you a moment to rest between puzzles.  Quantum Conundrum is based on the Unreal Engine 3.0 engine. The authors focused on a colorful cartoon visual style. Professor Fitz Quadwrangle speaks with the voice of John de Lanta, who is best known for his role as Q in the series Star Trek.
