Pillars of Eternity: The White March Part II is another extension to the PC RPG game by Obsidian Entertainment, released in March 2015 for PC, continuing the traditions of such cult representatives as Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment. As in the case of the first DLC, the basic game is required to play, and both expansions can be purchased separately or in a package. In the expansion, we return to the snow-covered areas of the title White March, where a team controlled by players goes on a mission to discover the secret of the legendary Durban steel. Tyranny is an RPG released on the PC platform, developed by Obsidian studio specializing in this genre, i.e. a team with such titles as Pillars of Eternity, Neverwinter Nights 2 or Fallout: New Vegas. The action of the game is set in a gloomy, original fantasy land, long after the dark creature known as Kyros defeated the mortal forces, killed the heroes and took control of the whole world, introducing the title tyranny everywhere. The main character is a person who benefited from such a turn of events. We play the role of an officer in Kyros' army, who is a judge and executioner for ordinary people, who makes sure that the will of a despot is carried out. This does not mean that we are forced to play with a psychopath who enjoys murdering innocent people. There is, of course, an option, but an equally effective way to keep the people loyal to Kyros is to establish ruthless but just rule. In addition, the high position of characters on the social ladder means that even small decisions have a significant impact on the situation in the world, shaping the future of the entire universe and its thousands of inhabitants. Tyranna takes less time to complete than Pillars of Eternity, but this time Obsidian put much more emphasis on completing the game multiple times. During the game, we make many more key choices that change the course of events - we can, inter alia, ally with one of the few factions and use them for your own ends.

Age of Wonders: Planetfall - Star Kings is the third (after Revelations and Invasions) large addition to the turn-based science fiction strategy Age of Wonders: Planetfall released in 2019. The expansion, like the stand, was developed by the Triumph Studios team.  In addition to the cosmic war, a new power joins the Unbending, whom the Paladins will try to unite disparate groups and re-form the Star Union, bringing peace to the galaxy.  In the campaign, we lead a Paladin who must find the ancient Grail Configuration and save the galaxy. If it fails, it will witness the end of humanity.  Star Kings is a classically made addition. The authors did not make radical changes to the gameplay mechanisms, instead focusing on offering additional content. The biggest novelty is the introduction of the playable Unbending faction. Its armies consist mainly of Paladins, i.e. noble warriors clad in large mechanical armor and wielding electric weapons. They are assisted in their battles by mysterious Seers who have abilities to predict the future. An important novelty is the introduction to the game of Grails, i.e. powerful objects on maps, the addition of which provides long-term bonuses. Unlocking them requires the completion of multi-stage tasks, but they are worth the effort, as they greatly facilitate the construction of the most powerful empires. An additional attraction is the introduction of three new groups of wild animals to the game, which we have to deal with on the maps. Among them were vampire stone creatures known as Psjons and Mikoliane, or cyborgs, which were created as a result of the acquisition of agricultural machinery by mushrooms endowed with consciousness. The action of the add-on takes place as part of the campaign from the base game, and access to the new content opens right after completing the first act. The success of the player-driven heroes echoed throughout the land, and stories of the Caed Nua Fortress recapture also made their way to the remote region of the White March, nestled at the foot of the gloomy mountain fortress of Durgan. Long ago, the gates of this fortress - Durgan's Battery - were closed by their dwarven builders. Centuries later, the mysteries of the Battery remain unsolved. However, there are still plenty of daredevils ready to try their hand at opening the gate, as rumors say that there are very valuable artifacts inside. This challenge is also taken by the player's team, which goes to the title White March with a mission to discover the secret of the legendary Durban steel. In addition to the main storyline, Pillars of Eternity: The White March Part I also offers a lot of side missions and an extremely difficult location, intended for the most experienced teams. In addition, the add-on introduces new skills and two additional companions that can be recruited to the team. The maximum experience level has also been increased to 14. Both productions were developed by Paradox Developments studio, the headlines also include such titles as Hearts of Iron IV, Stellaris and Europa Universalis IV.  Gameplay Holy Fury does not make radical changes to the formula of Crusader Kings II. Instead, the authors focused on adding new content and developing several aspects of the game. Players can direct either side of these conflicts.  Thanks to Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury the rulers of pagan countries receive the option of reforming the religion practiced in their territories, giving rise to a new church and establishing different principles of faith. The fun is also enriched by the appearance of the so-called legendary bloodlines, under which the heirs of great warriors receive special bonuses. Numerous new crusade events have also been added.  The DLC introduces the lodges of pagan warriors into the game, in which characters can advance and gain additional skills and new allies. Coronations also play an important role, forcing the rulers to find clergy ready in ceremonies to confirm that their power comes from God. It is also interesting to start playing on a fictional map of Europe, divided between many small countries fighting for their position, as well as the option of playing a campaign on a random map. In addition, thanks to Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury, devoted Catholics can become saints, which gives glory to their successors and significantly increases the importance of their eternal resting places. In turn, new laws related to succession appeared in pagan countries. Councils of elders can influence the division of territories among heirs, and the brothers are given the option of fighting duels over the father's legacy, which facilitates the unification of divided lands.

BattleTech is a tactical strategy game with action set in the title universe - a world full of bloody conflicts and ruthless mercenaries. The whole thing is a refreshment of the cult brand of figure battle games , which was first released in digital form on PC in 1988, thanks to Westwood studio. The production was developed by the developer Harebrained Schemes, who has, among others, the Shadowrun trilogy . Story In 3025, the galaxy is devastated by the relentless conflict between the aristocratic families that govern entire planets and even sectors of the cosmos. Due to the ban on the use of nuclear weapons and orbital bombardments, powerful combat machines called mechs are used in the fights . The player takes on the role of the commander of a mercenary unit, who is drawn into a brutal, interstellar civil war and helps the deprived queen to regain the throne seized by the usurper. Gameplay The gameplay in BattleTech can be divided into two parts. The first is turn-based clashes, during which we control our pilots and use their machines , weapons, special skills and varied terrain to outsmart the enemy. We most often observe the battlefield from an isometric perspective, but while performing attacks and movements, the camera changes its position (similar to e.g. in the XCOM cycle ). However, for better readability of the battlefield, the tracking options can be turned off, focusing only on the overall view of the battlefield. Managing mercenaries and combat machines and commissioning missions takes place in real time , similar to the above-mentioned series of Firaxis studio. Therefore, it is necessary to closely follow the tables of expenses and revenues, because in extreme cases it may happen that our lance (i.e. a combat squad consisting of four machines) will be grounded and for some time we will not be able to undertake any task (for example if our mechanics fail to repair damaged mechs, which requires both cash and time).
