Cat Quest is a comedy RPG with an open world released on a mobile PC, PS4, etc. system. The game was developed by The Gentlebros studio, i.e. the authors of, among others the popular Slashy Hero.
Story
The action of the game takes place in a fantasy world known as Felingard, which is relatively classic, except for one important issue - it is inhabited mainly by cats. The campaign begins when the land is on the brink of destruction due to the return of the legendary dragons to its territory.
We play the role of a cat, whose destiny is to become a Dragon Slayer and save the world. All this was told, of course, with a pinch of salt, and the whole story is full of humor.
Gameplay
Despite the comedy scenario, released on PC, PS4, etc. Cat Quest is a full-blooded RPG. While playing, we explore a vast world with an open structure, which has been densely filled with various tasks, both those related to the main storyline and numerous side missions. Among the diverse locations, there are three large cities, forests, mountains, deserts, pirate islands and dungeons. There is even an option for sea travel on board ships.
We move around the map using a simple touch system, in which we set the routes on the land or sea voyages by drawing lines on the screen with a finger. Each such trip carries a lot of risk, because we often run into groups of enemies that we have to deal with using the arcade combat system. Of course, there were also development mechanics, thanks to which we have the opportunity to improve the cat's skills, advance him to the next level of experience and equip with better and better equipment, armor and weapons.
