However, there are clues suggesting that such a course of events was planned from the beginning, and that people acting on behalf of the government are behind the attack itself. The game thus fits into the convention of political thrillers based on conspiracy theories, where the main difficulty is the correct interpretation of information that may be combined in several different, consistent ways.Despite the fact that the story is embedded in the past, the authors raise extremely topical topics, touching upon issues such as freedom of speech, the right to privacy, journalistic ethics or difficulties in assessing the truthfulness of a media message . Gameplay The Occupation is a first-person adventure game. We spend most of our time exploring locations, solving puzzles and talking to people who may have information important for the investigation. In addition, there are stealth elements in the game, when we have to get to a place unnoticed, search it and escape without arousing suspicion.
