Project Temporality is the first game by the independent studio Defrost Games, founded in 2010 by a former employee of Massive Entertainment. The source of inspiration for developers was the Portal series and logical games emphasizing the possibility of manipulating time and space. Story Action Project temporality takes place in the future. According to the theory of the British astrophysicist Martyn J. Fogg, humanity manages to "set fire" to Jupiter and transform the orbiting moons into habitable planets. Importantly, unlike Earth, most of them have the ability to manipulate time. Gameplay The main character of the game is a tester carrying the number 87. Its task is to test the possibilities of time travel technology on one of the distant military bases in the Jupiter system. In the course of the game, the player discovers not only the ways of using the futuristic brain implant TP-205, but also threads related to the character's story. The gameplay focuses on manipulating time and coordinating actions. The player has a lot of freedom in scrolling time (backward, forward, accelerating or slowing down), and can create momentary, parallel branches of the course of events and clones of his own character assigned to them. In many cases, this is the only way to complete the quest (e.g. place a clone in a field that opens a door or activates some mechanism so that the main character can move on). Mathematically every temporality fielded object increases the number of dimensions with one which is what allows the paradox effect.

This was the case in the first one, where we helped Daniel Garner complete this mission, and also in Overdose, where we had the opportunity to learn about both the events before the first and those that took place after the story told in the People Can Fly. Wild Bill will land in the middle of a conflict between the forces of Heaven and Hell. The player performs missions for both factions, but the finale of the story is typical of Painkiller. Painkiller: Overdose is the official continuation of the FPP shooter released in 2004, prepared by the Polish development studio People Can Fly. However, another company is responsible for the development of the sequel, namely the Czech Mindware Studios. This developer is known for such productions as Voodoo Nights (PC, X360) or Cold War: Behind The Iron Curtain (PC, XBX). The sequel to Painkiller does not introduce any revolutionary changes to the game. The game is still focused on the mass extermination of monsters, using an arsenal of more or less bizarre weapons. Story The events presented in Overdose partly take place before the story told in the first part of the series. We also play a completely new character. As before, the plot plays a definitely secondary role, not interfering with the mass destruction of the creatures appearing on the screen. This time around 40 different types of demons are waiting for players. Many of these creatures appear for the first time, but some are already known from the first part. The producer took care of new bosses, modeled on those from the first Painkiller. These opponents are therefore distinguished by both huge size and high power of the blows they inflict. Gameplay The single-player campaign prepared by the game developers consists of sixteen completely new levels that can be overcome on several different levels of difficulty. The arsenal of available weapons has been expanded with six new guns. The player can also count on much more powerful cards in the deck he collects and known from the first part of the series. The game does not lack a suitably developed multiplayer. The manufacturer has expanded, among other things, the options of tracking his previous activities. The multiplayer is also compatible with maps and game modes from the first part of Painkiller. Visually, the game resembles its predecessor, although of course many new graphic effects have been added. We continue to observe the action from the first person perspective. Most of the time, we walk the corridors of the Moscow metro, occasionally interrupted by slightly more open locations. The fun usually comes down to dealing with enemies, be they humans or mutated beasts. However, the whole thing has been sprinkled with elements of survival horror: the levels often build the mood of horror, and resources and ammunition are very rare. Artyom is also not immortal and the charge against groups of armed wicked or more powerful beasts will most likely end in his death. Fortunately, the game often allows you to sneak behind enemies' backs and silently eliminate human opponents. As a result, some levels can be completed in several different ways.
