Retro / Grade is a fairly innovative space shooter with some elements typical of rhythm games.The main element that distinguishes this shooting from competing products is that we play "from the end". During the game we play the role of an experienced pilot Rick Rocket, whom we meet for the first time after he managed to save the universe. The destruction of the last boss, however, resulted in unforeseen consequences in the form of a timeline reversal. This has such an impact on the plot of the game that we start the actual gameplay with an epilogue that serves as a tutorial.Playing Retro / Grade is about precisely reversing the activities that have already taken place in the game world. The whole thing is played in a two-dimensional environment, which is divided into five planes. Our role is to move between these planes. Each time you have to be in the place where the missile was originally fired, additionally pressing the button responsible for the attack.The key role is played by flawless gameplay resulting from working out the right rhythm. Failure to launch a missile or getting on the path of enemy rockets may lead to a disruption of the space-time continuum, thus leading to the death of the main character. Correct execution of movements, in turn, helps to build a continuum bar and increase the score.
