A contemporary echo of the 18th-century vanity-table mirror that gives it its name, the Vanity Mirror Collection is GamFratesi’s second wall-mounted mirror design for GUBI. The collection comprises three variations – with one, two and three mirror panels, respectively. The design’s defining features are its warm walnut veneer and brass hinges. These allow the angle of the mirror to be adjusted, influencing the perspective it offers and the play of the light in the room. On the single-panel Vanity Mirror 1, the hinges permit a 15o rotation, whereas the 180o hinges on the Vanity Mirror 2 and Vanity Mirror 3 allow the panels to fold flat on top of one another, covering the mirror when not in use.

Designed in 1952 by Greta M. Grossman, but named the 62 Sideboard as it was deemed to be ten years ahead of its time. The sideboard illustrates the designer’s penchant for exceptional shapes and unusual pairing of materials. The slender metal legs with ball-shaped feet, a characteristic trait of Grossman, contrasts the sharp rectangular shape in luxurious American walnut, giving the furniture a characteristic appearance of lightness and almost seeming to defy gravity. Adding to its elegance, the sideboard is provided with a deep, black full gloss finish on the tabletop and small solid wooden spheres.

Legendary French designer Pierre Paulin originally designed the Pacha Lounge Chair in 1975. Paulin designed the chair in harmony with the changing design style of its period, replacing the austerity of post-war design with a new, vigorous approach. Paulin managed to give a real elegance to the rounded forms of the Pacha Lounge Chair by finding the perfect proportions, raising it lightly on its base and tracing in the foam and upholstery with stitching lines inclined inwards. Through pieces like the Pacha Lounge Chair, Pierre Paulin pioneered low-level living; a modern way of living and sitting on the floor, by getting rid of chair legs. With comfort as the constant starting-point in his designs, the curvaceous, whimsical and organic shapes of the Pacha Chair are conceived to serve the body, providing both comfort and cosiness.
